Is Nala trying to scare me? Or attempting to elicit a negative reaction with that expression? She might be testing me, just as she did with the aura pressure; it's hard to tell.
At the same time, I find it somewhat concerning that she's making this type of expression without any apparent reason. If that's the case, it's more worrying that she does such expressions naturally. That's never a good sign.
"Hmm, They started waking up after nearly an hour, that's terrible... You need to train them much better; that was embarrassing. Anyway, Abigail, do what you need to do. It doesn't have to be today, but do it as quickly as possible, and when you prepare everything, take your time to organize all that is necessary."
"Yes, Lady."
Fortunately, Nala didn't stare at me for more than a few seconds; something else caught her attention. The girls who had fainted were starting to wake up, and this was enough for Nala to return to the main topic.
Now, she has returned to her normal demeanor, but there are still traces of that smile.
"Inessa, do what you came to do in the village. I might have interrupted you, but don't let that hinder your business here."
After talking with Abigail, it was time to speak with Mom. A well-suited piece of advice for the situation, but I doubt it will help alleviate all the stress that this conversation has caused.
Speaking for myself, I wouldn't want to go for a walk after this. But Nala doesn't seem to sympathize with my feelings, as she continued with the same expression and said:
"After returning to the palace, I want you to make preparations for my stay and Abigail's. Additionally, we'll resume our training, and I'll get you back in shape. The kids at the table will also have to train a lot, so I'll take care of that as a pastime."
I can't say that I'm not curious after Nala said these words. Seriously, I would love to see what kind of training people, especially dragons, undergo to get stronger.
Dragons are well-known in any story, mythology, and culture in general as wise, dignified, and extremely strong beings. Besides, who doesn't know that training with a dragon is the best way to become very powerful?
I need to find a way to watch these trainings and try to learn from them. Even lacking in size, I can very well pick up some theoretical lessons and learn much more about the magic of this place.
Maybe I'll discover more about what the Nebula is, or maybe not. But the important thing is to learn new ways to get stronger as quickly as possible.
"I'll also have to confirm some things in your territory, Inessa, and I recommend that you prioritize re-establishing commercial relations with the other territories as soon as possible. This will help reduce your growing rejection and the dissatisfaction of the other Ladies."
"I understand, Lady Nala. It will be done as quickly as possible. I will work in conjunction with Abigail to try to re-establish commercial and trust relations. I will also prepare all the facilities and material necessary for Abigail to start working with me..."
Mom is not as depressed as she was a few minutes ago, fortunately. Now she has a serious expression. She seems like a dedicated secretary, but there's still a lack of confidence in her.
But improvements are happening. That's good.
"Hmm, that's great to hear, Inessa. These tasks are important for both you and me, remember that. The faster you eliminate their dissatisfaction, the faster and easier it will be to recover your reputation. Moreover, it will help you regain your emotional stability."
"I hope so too, Lady Nala. But I think what will help me the most is having Apollo and trustworthy friends around to support me."
Inessa speaks something very beautiful, and as she says these words, she looks at Abigail, quite emotional.
Abigail, who has been by our side all the time, gets even closer and hugs Mom. They embrace, and she starts rubbing Mom's back gently. Then, with a very emotional voice, she says:
"If it depends on me, you won't be alone for a long, long time. This time I won't leave and abandon you, Ine, I promise."
Mom relaxes and rests her head on Abigail's shoulder. I'm sure it's a very beautiful scene, too bad I'm not seeing anything since I'm between them.
But something good I can take from this situation. In addition to being inundated by the mixed scents of the two, which is already a good thing, I'm also somewhat impressed by their chests.
Just to be clear, I didn't ask for this, but fate wanted it this way, so I won't fight against it. We have to seize the opportunities in front of us, no matter how 'soft' they may be.
"I see that your friendship continues strong, you two. That's good. While you work here, I'll fulfill my mission and report to the Council with the mission results and the response to the letter sent to you, Inessa."
Unfortunately, I couldn't enjoy it for long. A minute, and the divine sensation was already over. I'm feeling a bit empty.
"As you're in agreement, no drastic measures will be taken. So, after everything is ready there, I'll return directly to Avior. It may take a few days, maybe more, but during this time, I hope you try to recover even more, Inessa."
Mom didn't say anything and just nodded positively, perhaps because she's still a little emotional after that warm and fragrant hug. Nala also understood the answer and didn't seek more details; she just continued talking:
"After I return, I hope everything is ready for us to train very hard. Anyway... It seems our conversation time is over. You should help the kids recover."
When Nala finished speaking, she didn't wait for a response or a farewell.
She drank the glass of juice that was still in her hand in one go. She put the glass on the table, sighed long, and gave a last look to all the women. Then, she turned and began to walk towards the lake, calmly and without saying a word.
I wonder if she's going to fly or become invisible at any moment. The lake is a bit far from here, about 100 meters; will she walk to it?
After observing her back for a few seconds as she walked, I discovered something... I don't know if I should say this, but why the hell does she look so sexy?
Damn, it's a perfect hourglass shape... And the better part is the volume so well distributed... everything is in perfect measure... God, help me resist the temptations of this place...
Fortunately, something even more impressive appeared in my vision and took away impure thoughts. And the answer is no; Nala won't walk to the lake, after all. She disappeared after about 50 seconds of walking when she was about 45 meters away from us.
In her place, an intense ivory-yellow glow took over our vision. After that, a certain type of mist covered a large area around where Nala was. The silence of a few seconds was broken by a low but very powerful growl, as if something really huge were very close to us.
Soon, the silhouette of something enormous appeared in my vision... Then a roar, and a beat of wings cleared away all the mist and erased the glow that was hindering the view.
In its place, only a huge Dragon appeared in the same color as the previous glow, a pale yellow almost beige tone.
Beautiful, imposing, majestic... I have no words to describe what it's like to see a creature like that up close. It's almost unbelievable.
Before, when I was in the forest, I couldn't see clearly what the metamorphosis is like. I only remember seeing a dragon one second and the next seeing the blonde chad uncle. I don't remember the glow or anything similar.
Is it only when they turn into dragons? Or was it some kind of magic Akachi used not to scare me? Or does it vary from dragon to dragon?
Anyway, by logical deduction, this yellow dragon must be Nala in her draconic form. I think it's the same size as the Golden Dragon, better known as Akachi.
However, there are several obvious aesthetic and bodily differences between the two, such as the shape and quantity of horns, the size of the wings, the shape and color of the scales, and various other details.
So, as soon as the mist disappeared completely, Nala looked back in our direction before positioning herself and leaping toward the lake. An apparently smooth leap, but I could feel the wind reaching us...
With just that leap, Nala came very close to the lake, and as soon as she reached the peak of her jump, she flapped her wings and flew, quickly moving away from us.
