All happened when we were facing the aura influx, before our connection with Gregory weakened.
While we were almost stabilizing the local aura, Gregory seemed focused on something else. He was trying to hide it, but I noticed the core filled completely and stopped absorbing our aura.
If he pushed it further... He'd risk overloading. That's when he stopped trying to help us and focused on weakening the bond as much as possible.
But we had anticipated this might happen. We bought a stock of Parvitite just for when this occurred. We spent almost all our savings to buy enough to drain his core's aura twice.
We hadn't used any of the stock... So, it would be possible for him to simply use it when he realized he was nearing the critical limit or just in those crucial seconds when he stopped absorbing our aura.
