"Well isn't this overpowered."
Naturally Dom wasn't complaining but he wasn't so stupid that he wouldn't notice the difference between him and the other players.
"Now time to check my rewards."
"Let's first equip the A-rank armour. What it means by invisible?"
Dominic was surprised when nothing happened as he equipped it but looking at it closer he saw a thin, almost translucent outline of what was shaped like a piece of armour that you would see on a knight in the Middle Ages. He found that his hands went through the outline, as if it's not there, so Dom was quite sceptical about its defensive qualities.
He decided to pull out his word and stab himself lightly, knowing that he could use his divinity to heal himself if he got hurt. But the sword didn't even budge no matter how much force he applied.
"That's amazing. It's like it's not even there meaning I could wear this for protection without it affecting me in my daily life."
"Now I wonder what I'll get out of this random skill ticket."
Naturally Dom was expecting something great as it was S-rank. He decided to click on it which should activate it.
The ticket went up in flames as a notification popped up on the system panel.
[You have received the spacial manipulation passive skill]
*Spacial Manipulation (S)
Level: 1
▶️ Use of the player's attributes can affect space.
He wasn't really sure what it meant but he would find out eventually so this didn't bother him too much.
Now the last thing that he had to do was to buy the sprint skill, which he did quickly as it was not something that was necessary for him.
Gold: 42500 ——> 37500
He also felt like trying his luck so he decided to buy 5 random draws which also got his gold to a nice rounded number.
Gold: 37500 ——> 35000
[You have received a f-rank knife from random draw]
[You have received a golden apple from random draw]
[You have received a mana potion from random draw]
[You have received a f-rank wooden shield from random draw]
[You have received an A-rank divine Orb from random draw]
"I guess this is what it feels like to gamble"
"At least a couple of the items are good."
Though a couple of the items were basically useless junk that Dominic had no need for, the golden apple and the divine orb did in fact intrigue him.
*Golden apple
▶️ Sheds the impurities of the body and improves strength as well as body composition.
*A-rank Divine Orb
▶️ If used on a player, they emit divinity and gain the holiness stat. If the player has the holiness stat already they gain holy judgement instead.
These items could be very useful to him. After all, Dom was never a looker and after being tortured and not having the most healthy diet, his body was a complete mess even after he awakened.
"My divinity skill was able to heal all my external wounds but the internal ones as well as the damage that had been done to my body through drugs and my unhealthy lifestyle couldn't be cured."
Dom speculated that his Divinity was too low level and so he currently would've had no way heal himself if he didn't get the Golden apple.
He decide to wait to use these items as he didn't want any of the players around him to see and he didn't want to attract too much attention to himself.
[All players will be sent back to Earth in one minute]
The announcement interrupted Dom's train of thought and so he decide to wait till he got back to the abandoned building to ponder about it.
There was not much of a difference between how everyone got to the other dimension and how they left but the players leaving were no longer the ordinary humans that arrived here at first.
The light appeared and vanished in a blink of an eye and everyone was returned to where they were before. To the surprise of many, it had only been 30 minutes since they had left even though they had stayed for almost 2 and a half hours in the other dimension.
"Finally back."
Dom sighed as he sat on the cold hard concrete floor. He was tired but he was not really all that hungry.
"I guess using most of my Aether will make me tired."
"I haven't eaten for the whole day so why am I not hungry?"
Dom seemed confused about this small detail but without anything to go on, he soon stopped wandering about it.
"Well.. though I'm not hungry, I should at least eat the apple I got from the random draw."
He didn't care about the racket that was happening outside, which was just a small representation of the chaos the world was currently in.
"This…"
He didn't know what happened but he felt dizzy after eating the apple and although he tried his hardest to stay awake, he swiftly fell unconscious. He lay there in peace, oblivious to the transformation that was taking place in his body.
"Urgh."
"What happened?"
Dom finally woke up but he paused when he sensed that something had changed. He didn't know how but he felt lighter and his body felt comfortable as if it was floating on a cloud.
"I wish I had a mirror to see my face."
Dom regretted as he realised how smooth his face had become and wanted to find out how he looked right now.
"All that's left is the Divine Orb."
"Mhhh …"
"It's supposed to give the player the holy punishment skill if they have the holiness attribute but I have the divine attribute which is quite similar. I don't need the holiness attribute at all so I hope that I get the skill instead."
Without further ado he activated the orb of Divinity, which cracked into tiny glistening particles and the light that was contained inside seeped into Dominic's body. It was a soothing feeling and although he didn't feel much and neither had he changed much more physically, his aura had changed a lot. Of course Dom had no way to know this but he started to give off an majestic and imperious aura as if looking down of the myriad of creature that were below him.
Not only that but something unexpected took place as well.
[Divine orb has been used]
…
[Player possesses Divinity attribute.]
[An error has occurred]
[Player has received holy punishment skill]
[Holy punishment has been upgraded to the Divine judgment skill due to the presence of the Divinity attribute.]
[An Error has occurred.]
[Only Gods can possess divine judgement]
[Skill divine judgement has been locked for the time being]
[The skill can be unlocked when the player reaches level 100]
[Divinity attribute has been strengthened]
*Divinity (15/15)
▶️ Power derived from a god and is much stronger than the holiness attribute
▶️ Player can passively heal
▶️ * NEW: Applies intimidation to all other players that are less than the user's level
▶️ Enhances damage of normal attacks
▶️ Damage against demons is increased by 2 fold
"Holy shit."
Dom was overwhelmed by the plethora of messages that popped up of the system panel. He realised that not all went as planned but he still gained many benefits.
"This Divinity attribute is maybe too over the top."
Though he didn't gain the skill he wanted, he could still get the upgraded version of it in the future so he wasn't too agitated about that. After all he knew that he would get it eventually. Naturally he had already gained lots today so he couldn't complain.
Dom found it extremely helpful to see what the attribute can do and the new added skill that applies intimidation would also be extremely useful for Dom as it currently applied to everyone.
Seeing as it was very late in the night, Dominic was ready to go to sleep. As he lay down on the floor he suddenly remembered one last thing he had to do.
"I haven't allocated my attribute points yet. I probably should do that quickly as it's better to be safe than not."
Attributes:
Aether 15/15 —> 23/50
All elemental magic 15/15 —> 23/50
Martial Power 15/15 —> 23/50
All master 15/15 —> 23/50
Divinity 15/15 —> 23/50
Attribute points: 42 —> 2
Dom had just realised that all the attributes seem to be out of 50 points which seems to be the limit.
"I wonder if my attribute will level up if I get 50 points."
This thought lay on his mind as he drifted to sleep.
