Chapter 103 - Our Son

At least Alexander wasn't pushing me to stay home.

We sat in his car in silence as he drove us to my office.

It took me a while before I gathered the courage to speak to him.

"We need to talk about this," I told him.

"You're pregnant with our first born and I couldn't be happier," Alexander said as we waited at a stoplight.

He turned to me and smiled, what worried me the most was the fact that it was a genuine smile. It wasn't forced in anyway and he truly seemed to be happy that I was pregnant.

"Alexander you have to understand there is a chance—"

"No," he said, his tone bitter. "No there is no chance that that child isn't mine!"

"But what if it isn't?" I dared to ask him.

Alexander was a man that was never questioned, never challenged and yet here I was questioning him every single day.

"Then he is still mine," Alexander insisted. "You are my wife and any child you have is mine."
