"Let me finish!" she shouted, making me stop.
Hearing her say that she needed to keep her identity a secret was something I couldn't stand to hear.
She didn't have to spell it out to me, I knew it meant that she'd need more time before getting married to me. That tone she was using, I knew it also meant she didn't know how long.
I understood that she had to finish this investigation for the family, but I she had me.
She was forgetting that she was engaged to me, I would move heaven and hell for her.
I wasn't about to let her walk away, I wouldn't let her go. The last time she asked for time for her family's company she left me. That was not going to happen again. I was not going to lose the love of my life all over again.
I pinched her chin and lifted her head.
I made it hurt, I needed to remind her how powerful I was.
