"Really, Alexi? You put a bullet proof glass wall between us?" my wife asked as she placed her hands on her hips and glared at me. "They won't have a gun in there."
"But they can still try harming you," I said, as I ran my hands over Lilith's arms in attempt to get her to calm down.
When Lilith told me that she wanted to see Vanessa and the others in prison I didn't want to agree. I didn't want to put her in that kind of danger, but I knew that if I refused her she would only find a way around it.
The best I could do was to make sure she was safe, that she and our child were safe.
"It's too much Alexi!" she argued. "You could have just left them cuffed and we'd be fine."
"Oh they will be cuffed," I told her.
"Overbearing prick," Lilith hissed.
Before I could say anything to calm my wife someone cleared their throat behind us.
