Chapter 117 - Was Home

Home, that's what it once was.

I looked up at the imposing Grecian pillars that stood guard outside the house, sending a message to those who didn't grow up around this place.

Even after I had left and had chosen Jason over the Durforts this palce was still always home, but now…

"A thought for a thought," Alexander said with weak smile as he looked at me.

"What?" I asked, confused by his statement.

He smiled and shook his head before looking forward too.

We hadn't made a motion to knock or enter.

It wasn't like we had to knock or be invited in.

I was still a Durfort and Alexander my husband making him an extended part of the family.

"You tell me what's going through that pretty little head of yours and I'll tell you what's going through mine.

I chuckled and shook my head, "Your head is neither little or pretty."

"I'd say I'm quite the looker," he said, grinning at me.

"Hence proving my point," I sighed.
