"That guy..."

The God of Asura's expression became peculiar.

Tang San.

The "son" of Life and Destruction.

Of course, he recognized him...

But why does he now possess the aura of death?

Could it be that Life + Destruction = Death?

Thinking about it this way, it actually makes sense. A destroyed life is essentially "death," isn't it?

"You know him?" The Sea God asked in surprise.

"I do. He's the one I once mentioned to you, who simultaneously mastered the attributes of life and destruction and was even adopted as a godson by the Goddess of Life," the God of Asura explained.

"Godson? Then wouldn't I have to address him as Young Master?" The Sea God was exasperated. After all, as a deity under the Goddess of Life, he couldn't afford to offend her or anyone associated with her. Otherwise, he might face the combined wrath of Life and Destruction as a couple.

The God of Asura ignored the Sea God's antics and transformed into a streak of dark red divine light, heading toward the center of the Divine Realm Committee to request a meeting with the four God Kings.

Before long, Kindness, Evil, Life, and Destruction all arrived.

"Asura, what's the matter?" Kindness asked.

"Someone in the lower realm has condensed a divine position, seemingly based on the concept of death," the God of Asura reported to the two supreme God Kings.

"Death? A God of Death?" Evil grew intrigued. "If he ascends to the Divine Realm, he should belong to my faction, right? After all, death often accompanies evil. Heh heh heh."

"His divine position seems incomplete and isn't purely based on death... But I have a feeling that if he succeeds, he will reach the level of a God King, perhaps even comparable to the two of you," the God of Asura said, projecting an image with his divine sense.

The image showed Tang San seated on a throne imbued with the imprints of Kindness and Death. He gazed forward at an eerie domain teeming with phantoms and specters. Within this ghostly city, the souls of the dead moved in an orderly fashion, forming a scene reminiscent of a "Hundred Ghosts Night Parade."

"This man..." Evil paused and then turned to Life and Destruction. "Isn't he your son?"

Destruction's face darkened. "At most, he's an adopted son, and he's only recognized by Life. I haven't acknowledged him."

Life glanced speechlessly at Destruction before turning back to the image. Her brow furrowed momentarily, then relaxed in realization. "I see now. By fusing life and destruction, the attribute of death was born. Moreover, there's also light within him, indicating that he retains kindness in his heart. He is a benevolent God of Death."

A benevolent God of Death?

The God of Evil glanced at the God of Kindness beside him, his expression odd. A God of Death, inherently tied to evil, yet retaining kindness? Could it be that Life and Destruction intertwining results in "death"?

Death falls under Evil's domain, but it somehow retains Kindness... It feels as if Tang San, initially the child of Life and Destruction, has now become the child of Evil and Kindness instead.

What an oddity!

This matter absolutely couldn't spread beyond the Divine Realm Committee. No one could afford to joke about it, either, or who knew how the gods would interpret this mess? Four gods collectively "producing" a single child—how chaotic would that look?

All four God Kings seemed to reach the same conclusion. They exchanged glances and decided to set the matter aside. The God of Asura, however, couldn't suppress a flicker of anger in his heart.

After all, among the five God Kings, he was the only one with no connection to Tang San. Adding insult to injury, these four always seemed to pair off, leaving him to chat with the Sea God alone...

These guys always excluded him!

"Ahem!" Destruction cleared his throat to break the silence and looked at the God of Asura. "Tang San hasn't become a god yet, right? Could it be that you're jealous because Life and my 'son' has the potential to reach the level of a God King, or even a Supreme God King?"

Adopted son?

No!

This is clearly a true son!

"Having more God King-level beings is beneficial to the Divine Realm. It allows the realm to expand continuously and become a stable divine star," Life stated objectively. "A God King-level divine position can stabilize the Divine Realm's core."

"I'm not that petty," the God of Asura replied with a frown. "But Tang San, as the son of Destruction and Life, has recklessly taken over my inheritance site. Isn't that inappropriate?"

"Your inheritance site?" Kindness and Evil grew curious. They released two streams of divine sense through a spatial portal to investigate the Douluo Continent...

Kindness nodded afterward. "It is indeed yours, but—"

"Don't be so petty," Evil remarked with a playful grin. "He's still just a mortal and hasn't violated any rules we've set. You're already a God King; there's no need to be so particular. Besides, your Slaughter City was already polluted by the Rakshasa God, and now he's cleaned it up for you. Isn't that just perfect?"

"As the adopted son of Life, he should at least know the rules, right?" Asura muttered stubbornly.

"And what do you propose?" Life, having understood Asura's intentions, asked calmly.

The God of Asura suddenly smiled. "I think Tang San could inherit my divine position. After all, doesn't he also possess a Haotian Hammer martial soul? It would fit perfectly..."

"Absolutely not," Destruction interjected immediately.

He had just acknowledged Tang San as his and Life's adopted son. If Tang San inherited Asura's divine position and got influenced by his killing intent, wouldn't that make him Asura's adopted son instead?

*Good move, Asura!*

He thought, glaring internally. Despite your righteous demeanor, you're trying to steal both my son and my wife!

Life shook her head. "That's not possible. The attribute of death was born from the fusion of life and destruction. If killing intent were mixed in, it would no longer be pure. It might even cause the [Benevolent God of Death] divine position to fail in its final stages."

Kindness nodded in agreement. "That makes sense. Kindness must remain an integral part of this."

Evil glanced at Asura with a sly smirk. "Say, Asura, are you planning to quit? We're all brothers and sisters here. If you leave, we'll miss you terribly!"

But the God of Asura was more than eager to distance himself from these two "lovey-dovey" pairs. He responded plainly, "I have nothing more to say. Besides, this meeting isn't just about Tang San. There's still the matter of the Creation God's divine artifact, which fled to another dimension and remains untraceable. I can't monitor all the planes under the Divine Realm's jurisdiction on my own."

He paused and continued, "Additionally, there seems to be an anomaly in a certain Netherworld Space within the Vast Expanse Continent. A lifeform there has reached a demi-god level. Given the unique nature of that space, an ordinary second-level god likely wouldn't be able to handle it. Even my subordinate God of Slaughter is struggling, so I'll need to keep an eye on it personally."

Kindness split a sliver of divine sense and sent it to investigate the Vast Expanse Continent. After a moment, she returned to her senses and said, "That Netherworld Space is indeed unusual. However, the spatial channel connecting it to the Douluo Continent is even stranger. The two planets aren't even in the same stellar system, yet there's a spatial channel between them. It seems to have been created when the Divine Realm's connections to both planes intertwined and became entangled."

Evil frowned. "So, the spatial channels connecting the Douluo Continent multiplied and got entangled with the ones connecting the Vast Expanse Continent?"

"The Douluo Continent is the Dragon God's homeland, with the richest spiritual energy. It has the highest probability of producing extraordinary talents," Destruction explained, holding up three fingers. "Last time, it gave rise to three gods—Sea God, Angel God, and Rakshasa God. Although Angel and Rakshasa violated Divine Realm rules and were eliminated, their divine positions, spatial channels, and inheritance spaces remain, all still connected to the Divine Realm."

Life offered a different perspective. "That doesn't quite add up. No matter how many spatial channels exist, they should remain stable and not intertwine like a tangled rope... Perhaps there's been a fluctuation in the spacetime of the Macrocosm, causing the channels to diverge."

Her words left the other four gods momentarily stunned.

In the universe, spacetime fluctuations weren't uncommon. The Divine Realm had encountered numerous spacetime disturbances before, even enduring chaotic spacetime currents.

Highly dangerous chaotic spacetime currents could disrupt spatial channels, potentially causing severe instability.

*Could this be a precursor to something greater?*

Such currents wouldn't affect material planes but posed a significant threat to energy-based planes like the Divine Realm.

"We must warn all gods to remain vigilant over the next century and monitor their respective domains. If any spacetime fluctuations are detected, they must report immediately," Kindness said, her expression grave. "For such chaotic currents to entangle the spatial channels connecting two planes without us sensing it, they must be extraordinarily powerful. This could herald a great catastrophe for the Divine Realm, a trial imposed by the Macrocosm's will. If we fail to overcome it, the entire Divine Realm could collapse."

Evil nodded solemnly. "Now I'm starting to see Tang San differently. Perhaps he's destined to resolve this crisis. He may be the hope granted to us by the Macrocosm's will."
