"By the way, Third Brother, you and Sister Xiao Wu have both reached the Soul Saint level, right?" Sensing the fluctuations from Tang San and Xiao Wu, Guang Ling asked tentatively.
"Yes," Tang San nodded, "Almost Soul Saints. I'm about to attempt to condense my seventh soul ring. I plan to merge my Qi and Blood Golden Core, Soul Power Heart Core, and Spiritual Spirit Core, and experiment with condensing corresponding soul rings for each."
The three dantians, the transformation and circulation of essence, qi, and spirit, and the human universe cultivation theory were all familiar to the girls, including Gu Yuena and Lan Yinzi. However, the latter two only had a vague understanding of the details.
"Condensing soul ring-like entities outside of these three cores?" Ning Rongrong blinked, "The human body's meridians, blood vessels, and nerves are limited, so external entities similar to soul rings are needed to carry more energy circuits and enhance the conversion efficiency between essence, qi, and spirit... Truly a genius idea, Third Brother."
Huo Wu asked, "Does it have to be done when obtaining the seventh soul ring?"
"Not necessarily, but at the moment of condensing a soul ring, all extraordinary energy within oneself is most active," Tang San's eyes gleamed with a sharp light, "Don't worry, I'll be fine. My first soul skill is my confidence."
Without a bit of madness, there is no life.
Moreover, Tang San had an ace up his sleeve, giving him the courage to attempt such an experiment.
"Lan Yinzi, I'll need you to lead the way to the Blue Silver Forest tomorrow," Tang San addressed his reborn mother by her name.
Lan Yinzi did the same.
Since their meeting, calling each other "you" or "me" felt awkward, so Lan Yinzi took the initiative to have a conversation with Tang San—maintaining such awkwardness wasn't ideal. Instead, they decided to interact as friends, similar to their time at the Tian Dou Royal Academy.
"No problem. I've also reached level sixty and need to obtain my sixth soul ring, aiming for the Blue Silver Overlord Spear soul skill," Lan Yinzi smiled, but she couldn't let go of her desire for the Blue Silver Overlord Spear.
No matter what race a hundred-thousand-year soul beast was before transforming, they always retained the heart of a warrior.
Lan Yinzi's first five soul rings' skills were decent, progressing step by step, and adding the Blue Silver Overlord Spear as the sixth skill... Tang San didn't entirely agree with this "reborn mother's" idea, but he found it difficult to persuade her otherwise.
Thus, Tang San chose not to argue. Once his Blue Silver Emperor roots spread throughout the Douluo Continent, Lan Yinzi's Blue Silver Emperor could graft onto his, compensating for any deficiencies and serving as an additional protector and enforcer.
It was akin to traditional myths where deities with supreme power always had mighty protectors and warriors by their side. Lan Yinzi's situation was similar.
After dinner, ignoring Lan Yinzi's resentful gaze and assigning her to care for Gu Yuena, Tang San accompanied Xiao Wu, Guang Ling, Ning Rongrong, and Huo Wu into the bedroom to conduct his research on "Ghostly Pathways" and Qi and Blood.
"Why do you seem a bit envious?" Gu Yuena tugged at Lan Yinzi's sleeve, teasing, "Are you thinking of a love that transcends societal norms with your son?"
"…I'm not that twisted," Lan Yinzi felt speechless. This little ancestor really dared to say anything.
Still, regarding Tang San, she couldn't clearly distinguish whether her feelings were motherly or if they had changed during this time.
After all, she often thought, "This body isn't my original one." She might be the Blue Silver Emperor in memory, but her soul was a fusion with a transmigrator, forming a new individual.
"Really? I doubt it. Most soul beasts don't have any ethical concerns." Gu Yuena had seen many soul beast groups, especially lion prides. A young male lion expelled from the group would return, defeat the king (its father), and include all the lionesses (even its mother) in its breeding circle.
Although Gu Yuena had been influenced by human morality, she somewhat understood Lan Yinzi's behavior. Moreover, Lan Yinzi's reborn body wasn't technically Tang San's mother but a new personality.
From her perspective, if something did happen, it would just be a bit unusual.
"But now, I'm human," Lan Yinzi said, gently patting Gu Yuena's head. Realizing this was disrespectful to the ruler of the soul beasts, she quickly withdrew her hand before Gu Yuena could react. Instead, she took Gu Yuena's hand and led her to her room, saying, "It's late, and you should sleep. Tomorrow, I'll accompany Tang San to the Blue Silver Forest, so you need to be good."
Gu Yuena rolled her eyes, "I'm not really a little kid, you know."
If it were her old self, Lan Yinzi would have been devoured for such an act!
But now—
She didn't mind Lan Yinzi's gentle attitude, perhaps experiencing motherly love for the first time. Still, it felt strange coming from a "seventeen-year-old girl."
The next day, Tang San took a leave from Hu Liena through the Blue Silver Network and, along with Xiao Wu and Lan Yinzi, left Spirit City for the Blue Silver Forest to obtain his seventh soul ring.
"As my son, your soul rings can be condensed with the help of the Blue Silver King, but that would consume the life energy of other Blue Silver Grass," Lan Yinzi revealed. "Compared to transformed hundred-thousand-year soul beasts, you, apart from having human blood, are essentially a transformed soul beast without a hundred-thousand-year cultivation source."
"That aligns with my theory about Xiao Wu. Transformed hundred-thousand-year soul beasts without their original cultivation are essentially human," Tang San nodded. "If I can use the Blue Silver King's help to condense soul rings, other types of martial spirits should be able to as well, provided the corresponding soul beasts are willing. It's a pity the useful documentation at the Golden Ancient Tree was destroyed."
Xiao Wu sighed, "That's really unfortunate. If the method still existed, it would save a lot of trouble."
"Or it might be for the best. The specific methods from the Golden Civilization might not suit the current era. What we discover ourselves is always more reliable," Tang San said, subconsciously wrapping his arm around Xiao Wu's waist, only to have Lan Yinzi slap it away.
"I'm still here. Behave yourselves, or perform right in front of me. As your elder, I can give you pointers," Lan Yinzi teased.
Xiao Wu's cheeks turned red as she retorted, "You're shameless, old lady."
Lan Yinzi put her hands on her hips and huffed, "You should call me 'Mom!'"
Compared to her dignified demeanor at the Soul Weapon Estate, Lan Yinzi's lively personality emerged during outings. Perhaps she only showed this side to those she trusted most, like Tang San and Xiao Wu.
While Guang Ling, Huo Wu, Ning Rongrong, and Gu Yuena weren't outsiders to Lan Yinzi, they weren't as close as Tang San and Xiao Wu.
Besides, there were many servants at the Soul Weapon Estate.
