It wasn't easy for Simon to run with the self inflicted wound but he gritted his teeth and ran after his teammates.
It was a relief that the spider didn't take to the air, not knowing that using that many webs put its movements at a great disadvantage. So now it had only its legs going for it.
They were very fast though, all eight hairy legs creeping on the ground simultaneously. While Simon was glad he could finally move, the wound on his thigh was slowing him down. He felt like he was standing still, he could hear the many legs making sounds just behind him.
Occasionally Arachne would screech at them. Simon had tears running down his cheeks, he couldn't blame anyone but himself for his shortcomings.
Simon felt like his legs would break apart but he didn't want to die, not now that he had just found three people who didn't put him down, three people who instead of laughing at him helped him train.
