Scarlet opened her eyes and awoke from her nightmare filled dreams. She'd more or less learned to live with them, she barely woke up in the middle of the night screaming anymore.
But she was still not ready to sleep alone but Levi was nowhere to be seen. He always did this, always got her to sleep early and then sleep in separate bedrooms and would always come running when she woke up screaming.
She looked to the window the sun was already out, it was a bit cool inside but the sun and the sky looked clear and beautiful. She could feel that winter was already at the door.
They needed blankets and warm clothes, her mother always made these herself but she was taken away before she could learn how to herself.
"Did I oversleep? That's not possible, did I miss the hunt?"
She rushed out of bed, peeking through the window, it was really the suns, it was morning. She'd missed everything.
