The carriage was already in front of their house. He didn't need to go outside to know that the villagers had surrounded the phenomenon that rarely happened.

"I know, they won't see me." He didn't let her finish, he stretched and yawned. That was the second time she disturbed his sleep today.
"I was actually going to say you won't have to hide, merchants have certain privileges. Now that you're a merchant by law, rules for ordinary citizens don't apply to you."
He thought about it briefly, weighing the pros and cons. Levi came to the conclusion that it was too dangerous, even if he was a merchant now he was still a demon. If the Kingdom found out about that I doubt they would care about his license.
Lucy understood and he slithered out of there using shadow travel and went straight to their house. There was obviously no one there, everyone went to see who came with the carriage.
