Henry made himself known, it was a while before the King acknowledged his presence and ordered him to come inside. He couldn't help but look around, he'd only ever entered here once in his fifteen years in this world.
The King never particularly hid the fact that he didn't favour his eldest son. So he'd also learned to put distance himself and his father.
"You found her unharmed? Great. You've truly outdone yourself. There may be hope for you yet."
Even with praises the man was reserved, he kept it dangling right in front of your face not really letting you have it but not denying it to you either.
Henry was bowed, the King was having his breakfast. He didn't sleep a wink and waited for the King to wake up and made sure it was the first piece of news he would hear.
"Yes, your highness."
"Tell me what happened." He demanded not taking his eyes off his breakfast plate.
