There was nothing else Conor could do so he watched as Levi started the fire and took out cauldrons, about three of them and started mixing the ingredients together.
"Hand me that wooden spoon over there."
That's all he was good for at the moment, taking such orders and most of all going to get herbs when Levi ran out.
"You ought to teach me this so I can be of use." He said, "I mean more than just running errands for you."
Levi shrugged, "I'm your King you should be honoured."
He was joking but it seemed like Conor wasn't. With the beast showing him who's boss and Levi taking care of it without breaking a sweat made him a tiny bit jealous and inadequate. Now he was feeling more useless.
Conor knew it was pathetic to self-pity but he couldn't help it, Levi had been helping him all this and it felt like he wasn't giving him anything in return. He knew Levi wasn't the type to keep score over this.
