Scarlet was sulking because she was told she had to stay behind. The road to the two other kingdoms was long and treacherous, he couldn't risk taking a five year old with him.

But he also had his reservations about leaving her behind with strangers. He wanted to trust them but that was something foreign to him.

[I told you master, they will absolutely not betray you. You could tell one of them to drop dead right now and they would.]

It was not as if he didn't want to believe Lilith, but the whole thing sounded a little ridiculous. Having so much charisma that you could convince anyone to do anything, it sounded like a fairytale.

He didn't want Scarlet to serve as an experiment of proving whether his charisma was some god level skill that affected anyone he wanted affected.

"You'll have to trust them at some point." Conor advised.
