These systems were created to feel emotions giving them the ability to relate to their host, so the excitement of raising a child of a god was something it couldn't exactly hide. Especially one that showed such promise.
Only special people were ever bestowed a system, gods were forgiving for the most part. Each snatching a soul they deemed worthy, drawing it to their universe to be reborn.
There existed various universes, gods kept to themselves, there was barely any interaction between them — there was none between them and their creations.
'So, all I had to do to satiate my urge to kill was to farm? This is surprisingly therapeutic.'
His Hub was looking promising by the year mark he'd been in hibernation. Because the system called him a genius he thought he would do it with absolute ease, but even for someone like him, it was extremely difficult.
Greenery could be seen here and there on the dirt. It wasn't much but it was something to be proud of, this was the most relaxed he'd ever felt.
In his past life, he always expected a good life to be dropped on his lap though that never happened and he died while it never did. But in this life, he vowed for a different kind of life. If he wanted something he would go get it.
"Your highness—"
'Don't call me that!' He barked.
"Master, you've neglected your daily missions. Don't forget that whatever you do here will be directly transferred to your body. It's wise to use this time training, instead of doing, that."
Levi groaned. The system just didn't listen, he'd told it time and again not to call him weird honorifics but it fell on deaf ears.
He already settled for master, in his opinion it was much better than being called 'Your highness' he didn't think there was anything royal about him.
'Yes, yes.'
He abandoned what he was working on and sat cross legged. After a year of slacking, he did get better at gathering Gi. His slacking days included gathering and farming. With each passing day he could gather more than the last time, he used that to make his Hub much bigger and rich in Gi.
'The heat of this energy always makes my muscles burn but it surpringly feels really good.' He breathed out loud, enjoying the heat.
After weeks of sitting like that, he finally opened his eyes. He was drenched in sweat and black goo oozed from his skin.
He started his martial arts training, this bit was a lot harder. He'd never taken a single class before, the only time he'd seen it was on TV. He was that kind of guy, aside from killing he did less to improve his body fitness.
"I told you master, that's not how you fold a fist. Your thumbs shouldn't stick out like that! Your kick should be straighter than that and higher, you punch with your whole body, the core is your stomach."
The system tried to give him all sorts of advice.
'I mean, if I'm so strong why do I need to learn all this nonsense. Can't I just kill anything with a single shot of Gi?' He asked thinking back to popular shows where characters could physically manifest an energy to use it as a weapon.
"We've been through this, nobody has ever been able to physically manifest Gi, you can't shoot it like bullets — no it's not like magic." It finished, combating his next train of thought.
'I can't do shit with this useless body!' He complained. 'And don't count out that yet, I'll be the first one to manifest it.'
"Conjure a new body. That's something you can do, you're that body because that's the image you have of yourself."
Of course he'd tried countless times to conjure himself a new look but failed every time. He would have to see his current body for reference and since that won't happen until about four years from then he was stuck as his old fat self.
This was also why he just preferred fertilising his Hub, his old body couldn't keep up with the training the system was making him do.
"Master, your thinking is in regards with the old you and the old world. But in this one, it's different, moreso in your Hub. You could be a fat blob, you'd still be able to do anything. You're the master here, the creator, you defy every law there is in the real world."
His temple was pulsing as a vein popped up. Did the system just call him a fat blob? In any case it'd be useless to start a fight with something he couldn't physically damage.
And he started taking his training a little more serious, the sun was far from changing colour though. But the world in itself was blossoming.
'Left, right, kick.'
That's pretty much all he did until his body ached. When that happened, he'd sit cross-legged and start gathering more Gi. The burning sensation always relaxed his muscles, and cleansed the dirt from within.
'Why can't I use techniques anyway?'
"You're far too underdeveloped for that, that's why you have to be good at kicking and punching."
'Tch.'
It went on like this for the most part, the system occasionally giving him snide remarks which he ignored because he was the bigger person, time seemed to move faster than he could think but he was getting much better by the day.
"I think master is ready."
'What do you mean?' He asked almost out of breath.
He was looking a lot slimmer than before because he knew that physical training gave people a better physique he was able to manifest that into being by training.
"Body, Mind and Soul Strengthening!"
'Excuse me?'
His mind ran to the novels he read, those main characters taking pills to strengthen their bodies, souls and whatnot. He was starting to get excited.
'What do I have to do?'
"Oh, you know, just kill yourself over and over in this space."
'WHAT?'
