Chapter 10 - Fight begins!

Immediately Valzahrro said that, Gilbarrion nodded his head and immediately produced his pouch which contained his life savings. He then gave them to Valzahrro who instantly accepted it with a bright smile on his face. But why he was doing this, no one could tell. As usual, always full of mysteriousness with everything he does, embraced by profundity and intricacies.

"I guess we can start now, right?" Jack asked with an expression of readiness etched on his face, while Gilbarrion nodded his head with a sinister gaze coming from his eyes as he looked at an unbothered, defiant, and confident Jack. The look he gave was the look of a lamb for slaughter.

Whoosh!

He suddenly moved at a high speed to where Jack was. While Jack who was monitoring Gilbarrion's figure, immediately moved away before Gilbarrion's punched fist could strike his head. If he was a second late, his head could burst into a shower of bones that would be instantly accompanied by a violent eruption of blood.

Immediately evading the annihilating punch that Gilbarrion sent out—a punch so powerful that it caused a small pocket of air confined to the atmosphere around them to become turbulent, Jack immediately sent out his fist towards Gilbarrion's neck. This, he did by executing a swift 360-degree spin while aiming for Gilbarrion's unprotected neck with his outstretched indignant fist, after quickly and nimbly stepping away from the raging, incoming killing punch that Gilbarrion viciously sent out.

Jack was strategic and tactical with his fighting. He didn't want to kill Gilbarrion, but subdue him—as instructed by the Trifaceted Talent System. It was only a challenge—brawl, wrestle, or whatever form it could take. It was not an actual life-or-death battle. Or if he went overboard by seizing Gilbarrion's life, he might be warned and not given his reward of body constitution activation. So, he had to play carefully and act in total accordance with the instruction given by the system—an interface he couldn't yet figure out if it was a support interface or one that would reprimand him if he went against any of its rules.

And, the reason why Jack sent his fist out at Gilbarrion's neck, was to temporarily immobilize him—by cutting off his air supply, therefore causing him great difficulty in breathing which would definitely restrain him from making further unpredictable moves, or contemplation on advancement and modes of engagement with him.

He could have punched other places, but Gilbarrion being a really strong person—absolutely many folds stronger than a peak-conditioned human, Jack had no choice than to target the neck—one of the soft parts of his body, other than the egg sac to weaken him for a few moments. But, he couldn't be sure if they had balls, talk more of a scrotum—as they were evolved, strong aliens that were similar to humans, and were not exactly humans.

Bang!

Immediately his fist struck Gilbarrion's neck, precisely the pipe in front of the neck—which was hit with a significant amount of controlled force, Gilbarrion's eyes instantly turned red as his supply of air was immediately, temporarily cut off. His vision also turned blurry because his senses became overwhelmed by the sensations of pain and suffocation.

Seeing that he was successful with his attack, Jack, who understood that Dotrians' regeneration rate, though may vary, but will definitely be higher than that of humans, would cause Gilbarrion to rapidly recover from his decisive but controlled assault, immediately sent out another punch at his targeted windpipe. Then the punch that followed next aimed for his nose, causing Gilbarrion to groan in pain.

Trying to cut off his air supply for a pretty long while so he could teach Gilbarrion a lesson, and armed with the idea that Dotrians would probably have a really high level of threshold for pain, Jack suddenly jumped into the air. Though he couldn't cover much from his leap as a human, but it was sufficient for what he wanted to do next. So, while descending from his jump, with his right knee brought to his chest, he struck it out with severe force at Gilbarrion's chest, causing an afflicted, overwhelmed, and a blurred-vision Gilbarrion to stagger backward for only three feet.

'Last move.' Jack said, with the rate of his heartbeat increasing.

Whoosh!

With a sudden quick movement towards Gilbarrion, who still grunted and groaned in pain while trying to recover his breathing, Jack immediately executed a powerful backward flip once he appeared in front of him.

Swoosh!

As his body flipped in the air in the backward direction, his two legs that left the ground as his body turned rapidly in the air, swung out with so much force and power that when they impacted Gilbarrion's jaw at the same time—an objective of his so that he could knock Gilbarrion to the ground and render him unconscious, Gilbarrion was lifted only a feet above the ground before surrendering to gravity and landing back to the ground with a muffled thud. Although the lifting force applied on him wasn't much—as he was a heavy person that weighed many pounds, he was however knocked out cold, completely unconscious to be exact.

"I won." Jack said with a bright smile of accomplishment quickly carving its way onto his face.

He then respectfully approached Valzahrro and said, "Hi, I would like to get my trophies."

"Sure thing. I was about to step forward to declare you the winner and give you the pouches, but you already proclaimed that and approached me for your items. Haha. Well, here they are. Take it, you deserve it. But wow, you can fight awesomely well. Who taught you to fight like that? Never seen anyone fight that good. To be honest, I am amazed, and would probably remain so for a pretty long while. I mean, I really enjoyed the battle. The way you handed it and your decisiveness are top-notch, sincerely." Valzahrro said in a praising manner as he handed the pouches to Jack who felt flattered and beamed a smile.

Well, all thanks to his grandpa. So Jack thought. Or he would be something worst than nothing in this world. How was he going to conquer the weakest Dotrians if he couldn't fight? Although it could be accomplished, but it would take a really long while—after many preparations, including failed, reviewed, and constantly modified plans, schemes and orchestrations. Jack didn't have time for all that. With honed and well-refined, spectacular fighting skillsets, he would accelerate this and accomplish the task sooner than expected.

"Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate them." Jack said, smiling. While Valzahrro nodded his head and said with a smile hung on his lips, "You are welcome."

Speaking further, he asked, "What's your name?"

"Jack." Jack responded.

"Nice one. Mine is Valzahrro." Valzahrro said and beamed a smile, unintentionally displaying his perfect white teeth that sparkled in the beautiful soft lights emanating from the enormous glowing rocks.

As they conversed, Jack didn't know that Lisseranda who he thought had gone to her duty post, had actually returned to tell him about something she forgot—which was related to work. So, she caught sight of the marveling moves that Jack seamlessly executed like a brilliant, top-class combat veteran before beginning to stare at him in awe and serious puzzle.

However, her inexplicable countenance didn't go unnoticed by Valzahrro who didn't look there once—he backed her as he and Jack discussed like friends that had known each other for a long time now, not showing off the regality and majestic grandeur that the air around him seemed to be constantly charged with.
