Lucius exited the union, now he was staring at the piece of paper where all the clues regarding the assassin group were written. He seemed to be in deep thought as he stared at it.
"Should I start working right now or go home and work at night since they are active during the night?" Lucius thought to himself as he stared at the folded-up file.
A few minutes of thinking later, Lucius shook his head as he decided what to do.
"I should gather more information about the bandits during the day and at night, I will look for them.
I have already told Mom that I might not come home for a few days so that's not a problem" Lucius thought to himself.
He looked at the list of clues in his hand, he decided to see them later, he walked out of the gates of the union. He looked for a quiet place to sit. He found the place, then he walked towards the place, and sat down there.
He pulled up the list of clues, then he opened up the file he began to read the list of clues slowly. A few minutes passed away in the blink of an eye as he read this list of clues.
"There aren't enough clues that will allow me to pinpoint the exact next target of the group of assassins. There are also too many suspected places that the bandits could attack.
I should exclude the places that the bandits are less likely going to attack" Lucius thought to himself.
He took out a pen from his pocket which he used to put cross on the places where the bandits were less likely to attack. He determined it by judging the previous activity of the bandits.
"The bandits have mostly targeted the places with low security even when they targeted the royal palace, the security of the place was very low due to some reason.
They've plundered most of the kingdom's vaults, making it likely they'll target the West Moonlight Vault next, given it's the only one they haven't looted yet. It's perplexing why the king remains inactive, silently watching as the vaults are emptied. Why doesn't he take any action?" Lucius thought to himself.
The vaults of the kingdom are places where all the money and valuable items belonging to the kingdom are kept.
There was a no. of reasons thought that it was their next target. Firstly, the bandit had Looted all the vaults in the Kingdom except the West vault.
"It would be good if there were the details of the treasure that they had stolen then it would make my work much easier," Lucius thought to himself.
A few seconds later Lucius shook his head.
Then he folded up the list of clues, he looked around him when he made sure that no one was looking. He kept everything useless in his inventory since it was not convenient to carry it.
The list of clues and other documents dissipated into countless small fragments.
"Let's ask someone for directions to the West Moonlight Vault" Lucius muttered under his breath.
He walked towards a man when he was close enough, he asked for the direction of the West Moonlight Vault from the man. The man gave him the direction of the West Moonlight Vault.
Then Lucius began to walk towards the West Moonlight Vault according to the direction the man gave him. Lucius also had to hire a carriage because the vault was too far away.
Two or three hours later, Lucius had arrived in front of the West Moonlight Vault. The West Moonlight Vault was very big.
The walls of the vault were white, there was a barrier surrounding the entire Vault.
Lucius sensed the area of dozens of D- D-grade Divinities along with hundreds of E-grade Divinities. All the aura of Divinities were inside the barrier signaling that no one was outside.
"Looks like they have increased the security of the vault. I will have to take their permission to guard the place.
Let me take the documents from my inventory or otherwise, they won't allow me to enter" Lucius muttered under his breath.
He took out the documents from his inventory which started to materialize in his hands.
He walked towards the barrier when he was close enough the guards spotted him and signaled him to stop. Lucius halted his steps when he received the signal.
"Who are you? Why have you come here?" The guard asked Lucius as he sensed Lucius' aura.
"I have come from the union in search of the bandits who are causing a ruckus throughout the kingdom. I feel like the West Vault could be their next target since all the vaults in the kingdom have been Looted by them except this vault.
I want to guard the vault alongside you" Lucius said to them, he sounded very serious.
When the guards heard his claims, they frowned slightly as the two guards stared at one another. They were whispering among themselves.
"Show us the documents which prove that you have accepted the job," The guard said to Lucius.
Lucius nodded his head slightly and handed them the papers proving that he had taken the job. The guard examined the papers. A few seconds later they nodded their heads simultaneously.
"Wait for some time, you will be granted entry," One of the guards said to Lucius.
Lucius nodded his head while standing as he waited for the guard. One of the guards went inside.
A few minutes passed by but the guard still hadn't come back, Lucius was getting a bit impatient.
"How long will I have to wait?" Lucius asked the other guards.
"You will have to wait until he arrives, he has gone to fetch the key that can create an opening in the barrier" The guard replied.
Lucius knew that he could do nothing but wait so he just nodded his head in approval. A few minutes later, Lucius spotted the guard who had gone to fetch the key, finally returning.
"What took you so long?" Lucius asked the guard when he got close enough.
The guard didn't reply, he took an object that looked like a key and made contact with the barrier. The moment the key touched the barrier, a hole started to form on the barrier.
The hole got larger and larger. It kept getting larger until it was big enough for someone to enter through it.
"Come inside," The guard said when the hole became large enough.
Lucius walked through the barrier when the hole became large enough. The moment, he walked past the barrier, he
looked around him and spotted the ground was covered with black tiles that looked very strong.
He looked around him but as far as his eyes went, he didn't spot a single tree. There were dozens of boxes lying on the ground.
The doors leading inside the vault were just a few meters away from him. He was about to walk towards the gate but a voice resounded through his ears which caused him to halt his steps.
"If you are thinking about going inside the building then don't even think about that since you aren't allowed to go there." The guard said to Lucius.
When Lucius heard his remark, he nodded his head in approval since he thought that it made sense.
"Alright, I won't go inside. I will protect the vault while staying outside. Also, I am a necromancer so I might summon my summons so please don't attack them." Lucius replied to the guard.
The guard nodded his head, then he went back to his position. As for Lucius, he began to stool around the vault. He seemed to be in deep thought
