He paved the road beside the river and saw a pole sign. The next village will be a few miles away and it will be a whole day of traveling. The rain subsided and the storm passed. Only the cold wind remained to make him have a cold embrace. He felt chilly but his clothes were slowly drying up.

"Whohoo, it felt chilly," Lumiel shivered.

Paving the leaves-covered road, rustles of the trees were heard beside the way.

It was then, for a mile that he traveled, that he saw broken carriages along the way. Ransacked and looted. Broken wheels splintered, and the roof and walls were broken down while the windows detached.
