Marcus walked down the corridor with a clouded mind. He felt so much yet nothing. He was slightly confused, unable to shake the dread that seemed to resurface.

Marcus sighed as he pushed it aside, instead pulling out his phone to text Kinsley. He asked her where she was, and she quickly replied with her location.

The pitch.

Marcus made his way towards the pitch, eventually hearing the sounds of whistles blowing and soccer balls being kicked. Stepping beside the bleachers, Marcus was greeted by Kinsley and her teammates practicing.

"Marcus!" A familiar voice called out from the bleachers. Turning to see who it was, Marcus was greeted by Luna approaching him with a smile. "Hi, Marcus." She said with a smile.

Marcus smiled instantly upon seeing her. "Hey, Luna." He said with a smile as he stretched out his arms to hold her.

Luna quickly found herself in Marcus' embrace, he tightly squeezed her. "Mhmm, I missed you, my cheeky chicken." He said with a chuckle.

Luna giggled as she looked touched her foreheads with Marcus. "I missed you too, how was your trip with Kira?"

Marcus sighed. "Fine, you?"

Luna nodded. "It was fine, I learned quite a bit."

Marcus smiled. "That's good, but speaking of learning, Kira wanted to see you."

Luna frowned slightly as she sighed. "Does she?"

"Mhmm, why, do you not want to go?"

Luna shook her head. "No, it's just that they're working on something, and it's a bit draining is all."

Marcus smirked as he placed Luna down. She must've been talking about that project, Marcus thought. "Well, have fun, Luna."

Luna gave Marcus a soft smile. "You too, I'll see you later." She said with a small wave, before walking away.

Marcus watched her for a bit, before turning his attention back towards the pitch. He took a deep breath as he watched Kinsley practice with her teammates, before looking towards the bleachers to find a seat.

Luna found herself stepping into Kira's room, where she was greeted by Cora cleaning out Kira's closet and Kira, who was sitting on her bed with her knees to her chest.

"Hi," Luna said softly, closing the door behind herself.

"Hi Luna," Kira said with a warm smile, she then patted a spot on the bed beside herself. "Come have a seat."

Luna nodded as she made her way to Kira's bed. "So I guess you're seducing him tomorrow?" Luna asked as she looked toward Cora cleaning out the closet.

Kira nodded. "Mhmm, Cora's orders," Kira said with a soft giggle.

Luna sighed as she crawled onto the bed beside Kira. "Are you sure this is the only way to break them up?" Luna asked Kira.

Kira shook her head. "Only way, no." She then turned to face Luna with a smile. "But fastest, and most direct, yes."

"Not to mention Marcus is a no good piece is shit." Cora chimed in. "Can you believe that guy, even when confronted with the obvious, he still remains stubborn."

Luna frowned as she looked over at Cora, who was now walking out of the closet. "How do you know that?" Luna asked.

"Kira told me," Cora said as she approached a black duffel bag on the floor, retrieving a tripod and camera. "She said all day he kept shutting her out, even though it was obvious he was hurting."

"But–"

Cora shook her head. "There's no buts about it, that only confirms why I'm doing this, Marcus needs help, and I am not letting him drag Kinsley down before he gets it."

Luna opened her mouth to respond, to defend Marcus, but she couldn't even argue. Marcus had straight up told her he lied about loving Kinsley.

On Papar, Marcus was a massive scumbag, but Luna knew it was only because Marcus didn't understand himself and was stubborn.

But that didn't change the fact that he was a liar, and could hurt Kinsley and her future.

Cora began setting up the camera in the closet, and as she did so, she continued to speak. "Besides, after tomorrow he's Kira's problem."

Luna sighed as she looked at Kira. "Do you love Marcus?" She asked. "I mean do you really love him?"

Kira nodded, meeting Luna's gaze with a mix of determination and vulnerability. "Yes, I love him with every fiber of my being." She answered with a smile, she then placed a hand on Luna's head. "This is for the best Luna, I know things seem difficult now, but Marcus needs someone who understands him and Kinsley needs someone who can support her."

Kira then ran her fingers through Luna's silky hair. "Look at it like this, it's better to stop the relationship in its beginning stages, than when they are too deeply involved."

"I suppose so," Luna replied.

After practice, Marcus and Kinsley found themselves back in Kinsley's dorm.

Stepping inside, Kinsley immediately began removing her shirt. "Ugh, I can't tell you how bad I've been craving a little shower fun, Marcus." She said with a chuckle.

Marcus forced a smile as he took off his flip-flops. "Yeah, hey Kinsley I was wondering if we could just talk tonight." He said with a nervous chuckle.

Kinsley paused in the middle of removing her sports bra. "T-talk?" She stammered. "About what?"

"About you," Marcus replied, crossing his arms as he locked eyes with Kinsley. "You know, after spending the morning with Kira, I realized that we barely know each other."

"Kira?" Kinsley's eyes flicked with something, most likely jealousy. "Did Kira say we barely knew each other?" She asked somewhat angrily.

Marcus shook his head. "No, but after we went out for breakfast, she and I talked." He began. "I learned so much about her, just by sitting and talking with her, and so I was hoping–"

"You went out with her?" Kinsley asked in surprise, clearly caught off guard by his revelation. "Like you took her out?" She asked.

Marcus shook his head. "No, she took me out to buy a console, but we left too early, so we went and got breakfast."

Kinsley's eyes widened even further.

She paused for a moment, clearly processing the information Marcus just laid on her. "S-so you spent the entire morning with Kira?" She asked suspiciously, "You took her out and bought a console?"

Marcus nodded. "Yes, but that's not the point," Marcus said with a sigh, he was frustrated by how angry Kinsley was becoming. "Just listen, ok?"

Kinsley fell into silence as she stared at Marcus.

Marcus took this as a sign to continue. "Anyway, after spending some time with her, some real genuine time, I realized that I knew close to nothing about her or you for that matter."

Marcus then chuckled softly. "I know that seems stupid now, especially after I said I loved you, but maybe this was like a wake-up call, for us to take a step back, to think about what we're really doing."

Kinsley remained silent, her right trigger finger twitching as she blinked slowly. "Get out." She finally said.

"Huh?" Marcus asked curiously, taking a step closer. "What did you say?"

"Get out!" Kinsley repeated, this time her voice rang out loud. Her expression was a mix of hurt and anger, as her eyes glistened with unshed tears.

Marcus froze. His heart began pounding as adrenaline raced, filling his veins and activating his fight-or-flight response. "You need to calm down, right now." He said cautiously.

"Calm down?!?" Kinsley asked, her voice cracking with anger. "You come into my dorm, tell me you barely know me after spending time with Kira, right after you say you love me?!?!?"

Marcus took a deep breath as he remained calm. "That sounds bad when you put it like that." Marcus replied honestly, taking a step back from Kinsley, "but I promise you, it sounds worse than it was."

Kinsley shook her head, tears building up in her eyes. "How, how can that sound worse, that pretty straightforward Marcus!" She then threw her shirt towards Marcus, and he quickly caught it. "You don't get it, do you?!" She asked, pointing to her heart. "You're playing with this Marcus, one minute you love me, the next you barely know me?"

"Kinsley I'm sorry, I worded that wrong," Marcus said calmly as he circled Kinsley.

"How!?" She asked, "How can you word that any differently?"

Marcus attempted to think of an out and quickly.

Suddenly he got it, taking a deep breath he raised Kinsley's shirt to his face and sniffed it.

Kinsley paused for a moment, a perplexed expression crossing her face.

Marcus, now that he bought himself a few precious seconds, decided to lie his ass off. "Look, I was trying a little foreplay but clearly I suck at it…" he said with a wry smile.

Kinsley raised an eyebrow. "What are you…?"

Marcus held his hand up to stop her from speaking. "Do you remember how Kira would always kiss me?" Marcus asked, "Well, I was thinking that I never kissed you like that, so I was trying to step up to a situation where I could."

Kinsley's anger seemed to waver, replaced by confusion. "You… what?" She asked in confusion.

Marcus sighed as he removed his shirt. "Look, clearly I'm not good with words, so I just say it like this." He tossed both his and Kinsley's shirts to the bed. "I want to fuck you on the bed tonight."

Kinsley blushed hard as her eyes widened, she quickly looked to the bed, then back to Marcus as she dropped his shorts.

"What does a game system have to…"

"Look, it was just some stupid foreplay that went wrong." Marcus said as he dropped his underwear, revealing himself to be at full mast, "You don't even have a TV to use a console with."

Kinsley looked around her room, a smile finally crossing her lips. "I… I'm sorry Marcus." She said softly as her gaze fell upon his penis.

"It's fine," Marcus said as he approached Kinsley, pulling off her sports bra. "I was just being stupid."

Kinsley chuckled softly as she raised her arms up. "Never try foreplay again." She said, kissing him on the lips.

Marcus returned the kiss, glad to finally have the tension between them dissipate. As he pulled Kinsley close.

Marcus realized that it was best to just keep things simple with her, she was his normalcy, and that's all she'd ever be. "I'll just stick to the physical stuff, that's what you like, right?" He whispered to her, before deepening the kiss.

Kinsley nodded as she grabbed the back of Marcus' head. "Yeah, that's all you're good for," she replied with a chuckle, reaching for her shorts and panties, and quickly pulling them down.

Marcus didn't need to hear anything else, he guided Kinsley near the bed and dropped her to her knees. Kinsley then opened her mouth as Marcus wrapped his hands around the base of his penis.

He then went on to lose himself in the warmth of Kinsley's mouth. Enjoying the sensation of her rolling her tongue around his dick.

Who was Marcus kidding?

He had a great thing going with Kinsley. He didn't need to know her backstory, he didn't need to know her fears or dislikes. Because at the end of the day, when everything is said and done, he had a girl who loved him unconditionally and wanted his body every night.

Marcus began to chuckle as he placed a hand on the back of Kinsley's head. "Look at you, thirsty for me to release huh?" He asked with a smirk.

Kinsley smiled as she pulled Marcus' dick out of her mouth. "Yeah, I am." She moaned, licking down Marcus' shaft as she made her way to his balls.

As she began sucking and kissing them, Marcus closed his eyes. "It's simple, so simple."
