As the duo began to rinse themselves underneath the shower head, the water cast down on them like rain.

Marcus could feel his nerves washing away with the soap. Though this moment was intimate, he didn't feel a strong sense of lust as he would have in the past.

This moment was more than that, this left him feeling vulnerable. He felt a connection forming between him and Kinsley, something deep and emotional.

As they continued to rinse themselves, Marcus felt Kinsley's hands raising up his chest and eventually reached his cheeks.

Marcus looked Kinsley in the eyes, watching as she brought her face closer to his.

Marcus felt his chest grow tight as his breaths grew shorter.

Was Kinsley….

Suddenly Marcus felt something soft against his lips.

Kinsley had kissed him.

Marcus' mind went blank, his hands frozen in place as his chest grew hot.

Kinsley then moved to pull away from the kiss.

As she pulled away, Marcus immediately pulled her back and began to kiss her passionately.

He quickly moved a hand to the back of Kinsley's head, running his fingers through her silky, wet hair.

He then rested his other hand on her ass, gently rubbing and massaging it. Enjoying the feel of its firmness.

Kinsley quickly placed her hand on the back of his head, and the other over his penis.

She began stroking back and forth slowly, her grip was a little tighter than Marcus preferred, but it felt so good.

Marcus began losing himself, soon what was planned to be a simple shower, had become something else entirely.

Meanwhile, Luna was quietly sitting on Kinsley's bed, her head resting against the wall and arms crossed.

Her eyes were closed as she wiggled her right foot side-to-side.

She had a soft smile dancing on her lips, as the moans from the bathroom filled the air. Almost as if she was expecting something like this to play out.

Or maybe, she was just happy that it finally happened.

Around 25 minutes later Marcus and Kinsley emerged from the bathroom.

Kinsley's skin was beet red and her skin was pruned and wrinkled.

Marcus was no better, but he did have a relaxed expression. His earlier anxiety and tension were nowhere to be found.

Luna gave Marcus and Kinsley a smug smile. "That took longer than usual Marcus, I thought you only needed 10 minutes for a decent shower?"

Marcus nervously chuckled as he gestured with his hands, fumbling with them. "The water… it got…. Uhm, jammed." He lied, a wry smile plastered on his lips.

Luna's smile grew. "Ahh, yeah I hate when that happens, did you get it flushed out?" She asked.

Marcus nodded as he approached the bed, sitting down on the edge.

Kinsley hesitantly walked over and sat beside him. A curious expression on her face as she studied Marcus. She then switched her attention to her hand, blushing as she placed it in her lap.

The trio sat in silence for a moment.

Until eventually Kinsley broke the silence. "So, do you feel like, you could maybe tell me about your secret?" She asked.

Marcus looked over at Kinsley. It was obvious to home now that whatever they were, it was serious.

But now that made it even harder to tell her.

Paul's advice began swirling in his mind, keep the people you care for, separate from work.

After a moment of mulling over his thoughts, he sighed. "I'll leave this up to you." He said with a serious expression. "Do you really want to know what I do, If I tell you, will you keep it a secret?"

Kinsley nodded. "Of course, I only want to know because I care about you, I wouldn't do anything with this information that could harm you."

Marcus nodded. "Ok…" he said, rubbing his hands together. He locked eyes with Kinsley. "What I am is an anomaly corrections officer, and what I do is investigate, contain, or eliminate anomalies."

Kinsley raised an eyebrow. "A-anomaly officer?" She asked, her tone a mix of confusion and concern, "What's that, are you like a police officer or something?"

Marcus nodded. "Something like that." He said with a smirk, standing up from the bed, and stepping away a few feet. He then turned around. "I am a part of an organization that deals with strange creatures called anomalies." He explained.

"These anomalies can cause damage to both people and our surroundings, they come from rifts that open anywhere and at any time."

Marcus then smirked. "But I know you're probably completely confused and lost." He said with a chuckle. "I was the same way, so I'm going to give you a little show."

"O-ok." Kinsley stammered as she stared at Marcus curiously.

Marcus then gestured towards Luna. "Can you come here for a second?"

Luna nodded as she quickly hopped from the bed and approached Marcus.

Luna stood in from of Marcus, her expression full of excitement. "What should I do Marcus?" She asked.

"Just be an evil anomaly for a second."

Luna nodded, her expression then turning serious. "Prepare yourself mortal, for I shall wipe your pathetic kind from existence, and claim this planet for myself." Luna's voice returned to that same deep tone she had from before.

Kinsley's eyes widened. "What the fuck?" She asked in disbelief.

Marcus chuckled. "Fight me, if you dare." He replied as he began to levitate while simultaneously charging his hands with two ether bolts. The silver energy swirled in his hands like a vortex of energy.

Luna grinned, extending both her hands into long sliver blades. "To the death!" She exclaimed as she charged Marcus.

Marcus chuckled as he playfully engaged with Luna. Making fighting sounds with his mouth as he and Luna flew around the room.

Kinsley's eyes were practically popping out of her skull as she watched the two fly around her room.

Just then, Kira barged into Kinsley's room, along with Cora by her side. Kira had a wide grin on her face as she locked eyes with the flying Marcus.

"I knew it!" She exclaimed with a triumphant grin.

Cora meanwhile, was in disbelief same as Kinsley.

"Shit." Marcus hissed as he hurriedly landed.

"It's too late Marcus!" Kira said with a wide grin as she approached Marcus. "I saw you flying around like a duck in migration."

"Y-you knew?" Kinsley stammered. "You knew he could fly?"

Kira shook her head. "I didn't know what he could do exactly, but I just had a feeling, especially after seeing Luna's ears."

"Her ears?" Kinsley asked.

Kira nodded as she hurriedly approached Luna. "Voilà." She said as she pulled Luna's long silver hair back, revealing unnaturally pointed ears.

"The Fuck!" Kinsley said in awe and shock.

Suddenly there was a loud thud. Turning to look in the direction of the sound, everyone noticed Cora collapsed on the ground.

She had fainted.

There was a moment of silence as everyone quietly looked around at each other. Eventually, Kinsley broke the silence, "Marcus, are you even human?" She asked worriedly.

Marcus nodded. "Born and raised." He replied. "Though, I'm definitely not 100% human anymore." He said as he gestured towards Luna.

"What does that even mean?" Kinley asked.

Marcus struggled to find the words.

Meanwhile, Kira closed the room door and dragged Cora's limp body inside the room. "I think Luna is a part of him, right Marcus?" She asked.

"Something like that," Marcus responded. "It's more like, I'm a part of Luna, as the majority of her core is within me."

"Core?" Kira asked. "Is that like a power source or something?" Kira asked as she poked Marcus's bare chest. "Can I see it?"

Marcus shook his head. "Not unless you rip it out of me, but then I'd probably die."

"Can you stop touching him!" Kinsley asked frustratedly, her cheeks blushing red.

Kira shook her head. "Absolutely not." She replied. "So how does your flying work?" She asked, holding Marcus's arms and tracing her finger up it. "Is there something you use, or is it natural?"

"Uhm, I can barely fly as is, but it's more to do with a feeling within my chest, than my limbs." He explained.

Kira nodded as she moved back to his chest, her small, delicate hands tracing his pecks.

Marcus chuckled nervously as he looked down at Kira.

"Can you do it again?" Kira asked.

"Could you stop touching him!" Kinsley asked again this time her irritation replaced with anger.

Kira sighed as she looked back at Kinsley. "We have a literal superhero here, and you waste your time being shocked, I will not waste this opportunity!" She said with a burning determination.

Marcus gently pulled Kira's hands from his chest. "I get it." He said with a grin. "Everyone is curious about my abilities, seeing a guy flying around like a superhero, people ask questions." Marcus then released Kira's hands, and she immediately began touching him again.

"But, I barely understand how this stuff works myself," Marcus said with a sigh.

He then held out his hands, "Watch this." Marcus said with a smile. Kinsley focused her attention on his hands as Kira turned around to do the same.

Marcus then extended his left thumb into a long silver blade.

"Woah!" Kira said in amazement, leaning closer to get a better look.

"Jesus…" Kinsley said worriedly, her tone a strange mix of emotions. "I thought you were like a mobster, or gangster, or maybe a street fighter…."

Marcus laughed as he pulled Kira backward slightly. "Stay back." He said softly.

"O-ok." She said softly as she backed against his chest.

Marcus chuckled nervously but continued his demonstration. He receded the blade formed on his thumb and extended a blade from his pointer finger.

"Amazing," Kira commented.

"This isn't the best part," Marcus said with a proud grin. He then extended and receded his remaining fingers in order from left to right.

"Was that the best part?" Kira asked, practically head over heels and bouncing with a million questions.

"Not yet," Marcus answered.

He then balled his hands into fists and took a deep breath. "This…. Is the best part."

He then opened his hands, and everyone watched as his hands morphed into long silver blades, the length of swords.

"Partial transformation…." Kira murmured to herself as she touched the left blade. Running her delicate finger across it, she suddenly cut herself. She quickly pulled back her finger and held it close. "Those things are deadly too." She added.

"Shit, I'm sorry." Marcus apologized, receding the blades as he reached for her hand. He grabbed her bleeding finger and examined it, "I-it's not deep." He stammered with a nervous smile.

Kira nodded, bringing her finger close to her chest once more. "Can you heal yourself?" She asked.

Marcus nodded. "Yeah, I can" he replied extending one of his fingers into a blade. He then brought his palm in front of Kira and gently made a cut across. Blood quickly surfaced to skin, and began dripping down his palm.

The cut then healed seconds later, and if it wasn't for the blood still present on his palm, it would be as if the cut had never existed.

Kira grabbed his hand and brought it closer to herself. She then placed her cut finger in Marcus' blood. "W-what are you doing?" Marcus stammered.

Kira remained silent until a moment later when she pulled back her finger to reveal that it had healed.

Now Marcus was dumbfounded. "H-how…."

Kira smiled triumphantly. "I figured since we have similar blood types, that maybe you're blood would heal my cut, smart right?" She asked with a proud smile.

"That makes no sense whatsoever, but that's amazing to think about," Marcus said with eyes of awe.

Kira giggled.

"How do you know his blood type?!" Kinsley asked, sitting up from her bed with a concerned expression.

Kira sighed, "You're focused on the wrong things." She replied, turning her attention back to Marcus, she asked another question. "So if we did a blood transfusion, could I heal too?"

This time, it was Luna who answered. "Maybe, but it wouldn't last long." She explained, "It's my core that produces the cell and ether needed to heal, without my core the cell would die within a day."

"Fascinating,"  Kira replied.

Kinsley sighed as she crossed her arms. "So, this organization, can you start from the beginning, what do you and it have to do with anomalies?"

Marcus smiled. "Well, it all starts with rifts..."
