Chapter 26 - The Azure Bay...

" Universal points?"

" Yeah, they are the points which can be turned to any point in the system. Universal points can be exchanged for faith points, farming points, and all other types of points that you will meet in the near future!"

" So Universal points are the most important of all the points, am I right?"

" Yes, they have a higher value than all other points. 25 faith points equal to just 1 Universal point and also 50 farming points equal to a Universal point."

" Seriously?"

" Yes, Haah, you are given a plugin enabling you to earn them by completing daily, weekly, and monthly challenges! Fuck, why are you so damn lucky?"

" Well luck is also a part of strength, you know."

" Haah, but that's somewhat strange! You have an abnormal amount of luck! You even got an Entity Level Divinity. And it's fucking Magic!"

" Mastering Magic attribute is a dream for even the ones in the Divine plane! You got it with only your luck! So jealous!"

" Why are you so obsessed with Magic? Is that something very important?"

" 'Very important' you say? Haah, you dumb master, magic is the mechanism of the whole Universal system! If there is no magic this system will also not function. Even universal stones are a part of magic. The whole energy balance has prevailed for millions and billions of years so far because of Magic!

As the Entity level is the highest level of a Divine Concept, you can say that you have already become an op character, which we see in those animes!"

" Huh? So you are saying Magic is more powerful than the power of four seals?"

" My stupid master! Those seals were also built using magic! The creator himself uses magic to create all sorts of things!"

" Is that so? Can I use magic as my will for any- Ahhhhhh, ahhh, what's happening to me? I'm feeling pain all over my body again! What's this?"

The last time he felt that much pain was at the time the seal of Beauty was merging with his body. But, now, the pain surpassed what he felt that day, making it seemingly impossible to bear!

" Don't try to fight against it. Just let it flow within you!"

" What should I have to let flow- ahhh"

Suddenly, Karl could feel another strange power invading every corner of his body while flowing through his veins. He could feel his blood start to boil, and his body temperature skyrocketed.

" Don't try to stop it! Just go with the flow!"

" Bitch, it's easier said than done! Can't you see how I'm struggling to do that?"

His vision slowly began to blur and the worried voice of Marina began to fade. The next thing he saw was a black world and he passed out.

Karl opened his eyes. The first thing he could see was the blue sky. In a flash, he could remember what had happened to him, and abruptly he went on guard.

He turned 360 degrees to observe his surroundings. The scenery was breathtaking.

He was on a sand beach surrounded by the blue sea. The weather was very much like autumn and the wind was wet yet hot. The salt smell of the wind made him feel so peaceful that for a moment he almost forgot about keeping his guard up.

He checked his connection with Marina only to find out that he couldn't feel her around him. The situation was grieving for him to be alone on that island because without her there was no way he could put up a fight with someone. All he could do was hide behind a shield but now he knew it was also impossible for him as he couldn't feel any connection to cultivation energy.

" System, are you there?"

" Ding,

Supreme Overlord System

Current status:- Sleep due to not having enough permission to meddle with the current host's situation."

" What the fuck? Where the hell am I?"

" Well, you are in Azure Bay. And you are here because of that Magic attribute of yours."

A voice was heard right behind his back.

Karl slowly turned to the back, still keeping his guard up.

An old man in a long white robe was kindly smiling at him. The look on his face made his turbulent mind calm and rational. It didn't take much time for him to sense how powerful the being who was in front of him.

As a master of finding other's feelings, he could sense the kindness and empathy he had towards him. His feelings were as if he was his father who was watching his grown son after meeting for a long time.

After observing for some time he murmured,

" It's been a long time since someone has been here. When was the last time, huh? Was it 700 million? Oh never mind I can't remember."

This was shocking news for him.

' Living for millions of years! How powerful is he?'

He had already used his cultivation base to sense his level only to get nothing.

" Who are you?"

" Who am I? No, that's not the right question. Who are you?"

The old man replied leisurely still with a gentle smile on his face.

" Who am I? I know myself very much. I'm Karl Neitherhood the apostle of beauty, sex and lust."

" And?"

" And.." After thinking for some time a shocked look appeared on his face.

" There's nothing more right?"

Karl couldn't believe there was nothing much to say about his identity. What else is he? He didn't know but he felt something else was there about his identity. But he couldn't describe it.

" Boy, you still haven't found who you really are. All you described first are not the things you actually own yourself."

Karl started to think. His name, it was given to him by his mother and father. So, it's not him but there's. His identity as an apostle. There were so many apostles before and now he was just entrusted with that position by a seal. So, it's also not him. There's no uniqueness in these things about him.

A dawn of realisation appeared in his mind. Was there anything really unique in his life?

The answer was no.

Karl looked at the smiling face of the old man who was facing him.

" You know who I really am?"

Hearing this he chuckled.

" How can an old man like me know you youngsters? I don't know who you really are. But, I know who I really am and no one else in the whole universe knows that. It's only you who know the real you. Not me or anyone else. But, I can guide you to find the 'real' you. It's up to you to find it. Want to find out?"

" Yes."

" Follow me." The smiling old man turned his back towards him and started to walk on the small sandy road into the woods.

After observing him for a moment, Karl started to follow him closely.

The forest was a little dark but he didn't feel any fear within him. All he could feel was peace in his mind and also body. He wanted to dwell on that feeling longer. That was very much refreshing for him.

After about a 30 minute walk, the two of them reached a lake

The lake's water was clear as the blue sky and on the surface there were blossomed lotuses and all sorts of water flowers. The surroundings were quiet except the gushing sound of water from the small waterfall by the side.

In the middle of the lake there was a golden platform with strange sculptures carved on the surface.

" You see that pedestal there. That's the place you will find the uniqueness of yourself. Everyone in the universe is unique. Though quite a few of them try to find the reason for their life. Go, find your reason there. Give up all the things bothering you. Leave it here with me and step onto that Holy Pedestal."

Hearing this Karl closed his eyes and stopped the drifting thoughts in his mind. Right now his mind was like a sea without waves. As a cultivator he could keep this condition in his mind as long as he wanted.

He nodded and floated to the platform. Landing on the middle of the platform while still continuing to close his eyes he sat on the lotus-position and started meditating.

Suddenly the sky darkened and began to rumble. Even in the middle of that lightning storm, the surface of the lake continued to be calm and never even a bit of water splashed out from the lake.

But, Karl didn't even move in the middle of the lightning storm. He continued to be in the lotus position and meditation. Lightning crashed around him and hit on the pedestal electrocuting it. Pain flowed through his body yet he didn't even open his eyes.

" Mmm, this one's a tough one. I really hope he can escape the curse of the Divinity of Magic. Finding the reason for one's life on that pedestal is suicide. Sigh.. We are just keepers of these curses. Magic is the worst one of them. Young man, break that beings' authority and free the universe from their grasp."
