Chapter 20 - First Fight

The people fell to their knees panting, Zamright resistance has caused them their stamina. As for the one that activated the ability has fainted.

Behind all of them was the Throne Guard Captain. "Did he use any ability?" he asked another batch of people that focused on analysis .

"No. He just seemed to have a very strong physique and when he clapped, it disrupted power. We don't think it was ability but rather a simple technique!"

"Contact that Ice Land to watch over the Red Ice Castle. We are on our way!" the captain ordered in a booming voice.

Zamright travelled through streams of extremely cold water and he found himself frozen in a slab of ice within a castle made of ice.

There was a river of blood essence that flowed toward the inner chambers of the Ice Castle. In one of those chambers was the demon ice.

She was humanoid, with bluish skin, longer arms and claws and from her armpit, smaller human hands came about. Her face was covered in her long red hair but one can see cold breath coming from her nostrils which froze the blood essence before it broke and continued to flow.

It has normal human legs but from her hip was another leg similar to horse hind legs that were covered with red hair.

The naked demon was in the kneeling position, her gaze fixed on the blood essences flowing, freezing it and thawing it continuously.

Zamright eyes glanced around and he saw numerous humans and humanoid creatures frozen like him. From time to time, a slab of ice will crack, breaking the person inside and blood will flow out and join the flow of blood essence.

Zamright was just another source of blood essence.

In all of his fights Zamright has never fought intensely. He can infer that he was physically strong but never tested that to the limit. But looking at the red-haired humanoid creature he knew he might need to go all out.

He clenched his fist with all the strength he could muster and to his surprise the mighty ice slab exploded like a bomb, causing a few other slabs to explode too.

The red ice demon looked up for the first time. A beautiful woman's face gazed at him as he fell in slow motion. Her eyes brows thick and the crimson pupils that should have frozen the blood of everyone looked at Zamright.

Then it opened its mouth, her blue tongue and teeth lay bare as white cold mist came out.

Then she lunged forward extremely fast.

Even though Zamright was falling fast, the creature reached him before he touched the ground.

However, he was able to see all that in slow motion.

Bang!

She clasped her ugly teeth at him but Zamright's hand had already moved fast and grabbed her tongue and pulled it out while he used his leg to push himself out from it.

The thing was she was large enough to swallow him all. She wanted to gobble him completely.

However, her speed seems to have blurred her vision while Zamright can do everything at a normal pace.

The tongue was as flexible as rubber, it didn't get injured or even severed. Her red hair solidified and strikes viciously at him like ice spike

Clap!

Shereeeeekh!

A heart-wrenching shriek shook the castle.

Clap!

Clap!

The clap frequency irritated her mind and made her confused. Not to mention she felt as if her powers were slipping.

The demon slammed shut her eyes and destroyed its ear drums and then turned and attacked viciously.

Zamright was slightly taken aback at the quick action of the creature. 'It's smart,'

Her speed now was doubled and like a raging wind she reached Zamright but this time her hands were the ones sweeping around to grab him.

In time, he jumped to the giant's hand and hauled himself to her face and sent a punch.

Bang!

With all her momentum she was blasted like a ball, crashing on many ice slabs until she reached the castle wall.

"I'm strong!" he looked at his fist.

He never punched anyone before he only did it like he saw others were doing.

One of the aspects of Exalted race was that age come with strength and enlightenment. He knew that but never knew he could command this much power in just a short span of time.

He was observing his fist when he saw a shadow behind him. He turned with another punch but the shadow owner turned to smoke and coalesced beside him.

"Oh, it's you!" Zamright recognized the six armed creatures.

He still has questions over what it is and where it comes from but he now has to deal with the demon that was waking up.

She stood, weirdly with her four legs and then her body became blue, before it turned into ice and shattered. The blood river shifted and merged with her into a cocoon. A thick energy was created due to the merger.

It was like a solid wind blowing toward Zamright, his attire flapping and his legs sliding back on the ice tiles.

The six armed creature on the other hand dissipated into smoke but one hand managed to Zamright shoulder before it was blown away.

"This pressure. It's becoming stronger!" Zamright muttered, "people seemed to have become weaker but at least you are something!"

Zamright noticed something when he came here. The demon was somewhat guarding the blood river as it passed through deeper into the castle. It was also selecting what creature to bleed out and watched closely how it affects the river.

When they clashed, he noticed that she was avoiding the inner section of the castle. Even now as Zamright punched, it managed to change trajectory and went another way avoiding the inner castle.

He was now thinking, this demon wasn't the actual monster here but just a guardian.

He glanced at the fading six arm creatures and ordered it.

The cocoon break and the blast of energy stopped, what emerged was a mishmash creature with a complex body proportion. It seemed to have multiple arms, a skin made with congealed blood. Multiple shark-like mouths. A snake tail on it had cartaphiler legs.

Its very nature was abhorrent and nightmare inducing. But in Zamright eyes he found it incompetent.

The ugly creature shook and an oval crystal appeared above her head. That was when Zamright felt things might go out of hand.
