Yara kept her eyes glued to the stalls and feet on the path as she continued down the inding roads for anything- anything that seemed like an opening for her.

She slipped between two shadowy stalls, where one merchant sold bones of mythical beasts, claiming they had healing properties, while the other offered talismans for protection—each one pulsing with faint light. Yara approached the second stall, her eyes scanning the items. An older man stood behind it, his skin mottled like stone, his eyes cloudy and white as though he were blind. Yet she had no doubt he could see more than she could.

"What are you selling?" she asked, her tone clipped but casual.

He smiled—thin and sharp like a blade. "Protection, child. From things you've yet to understand."

Yara's eyes flicked to the talismans, studying them. Each one had a faint magical aura, but they felt…off. Warped, somehow. Dangerous.
