Yara took a deep breath, steeling herself for the conversation they needed to have.
"We can't take the child with us," Yara said softly, breaking the silence. "It's too dangerous."
The dragon's golden eyes flickered at her, his expression unreadable. "Agreed. He needs to be somewhere safe."
Yara nodded, relieved that they were on the same page. "I think we should contact the resistance. They can keep him safe while we go back underground to look for the egg."
The dragon's gaze softened slightly. "That is a wise plan. I will agree to it."
