Yara took a deep breath before activating the communication stone, feeling a little lightheaded as she pushed mana into it. Why would this little output of mana have me drained?
Instead of her uncle's stern face, the familiar features of an elf from the resistance appeared. His eyes were sharp, but a warm smile softened his expression.
"Yara, finally!" The elf's voice came through, slightly distorted but unmistakable. "I've been trying to reach you for weeks."
She sighed, tension easing slightly. "Elduin, you have no idea how glad I am to see you. What's happened?" she replied, trying to mask her anxiety with a calm tone.
"I've found information on another egg," Elduin said, his tone urgent.
Yara's brows shot up. Another egg? So soon?
"How sure are you about this?" Yara asked, her eyes narrowing. Things were too high-strung for another false lead.
