Val's low growl reverberated through the small room. "Sky," he said, voice exasperated. "if you keep interrupting us...I might have to do something about you."
Sky, leaning casually against the doorframe, smirked in response. His blue eyes sparkled with mischief as he crossed his arms. "Trust me, walking in on... whatever this is, is just as weird for me. Maybe try locking the door next time?"
Yara, perched awkwardly on the bed, hastily slid off Val's lap. Her face flushed as she adjusted her tunic, eyes darting anywhere but at the two men. Why did she keep getting in these weird situations?
Val cut her off with a sharp huff. He didn't bother defending their actions, his amber eyes narrowing at Sky instead. Before more could be said, two glowing orbs drifted past Sky, their soft light illuminating the room in a gentle glow.
