"Looking for something, dragon?"
The dragon's golden eyes snapped to the creature, his expression hardening. He was still cursed to his human form, unless one took off his human wrappings, they weren't supposed to know he was a dragon.
"You seem surprised, was I not supposed to?" it asked, tilting its head at an odd angle.
"Who are you to know what I am?" he demanded, his voice a low, threatening rumble.
The creature's eyes, a sickly green that seemed to flicker with an inner fire, narrowed. "In a market such as this, where every shadow holds a secret, it's not so difficult to discern the truth from the lies. Your aura, even cloaked in this human form, carries traces of ancient power. It's faint but unmistakable."
