Middle Stream Falls consists of two waterfalls crashing into each other. The water from these two waterfalls has different temperatures; the first waterfall has warm water, while the second waterfall has cold water.
When the two streams collide, a whirlpool is formed between them. It's a phenomenon that can't be seen anywhere else, only in Einburg.
"How about it? Cool, isn't it?" Tom asked with a broad smile.
"This is the first time I've seen something like this; nature is always unpredictable," I exclaimed in amazement.
"Don't be amazed just yet! Wait a few more minutes, and you'll be even more surprised, trust me!"
After Tom said that, suddenly the whirlpool between the waterfalls began to spin rapidly. Tom then took out an umbrella from his bag.
"Take this umbrella!"
"For what?" I asked, confused.
"Take it and quickly open it!" Tom exclaimed while handing me the umbrella.
Once I finished opening the umbrella, the whirlpool spun rapidly, and then exploded upwards, creating a geyser. The water from the geyser sprayed in various directions, even reaching me. However, my body remained dry thanks to the umbrella Tom gave me.
"How was that? Cool, right? But you have to be careful not to get hit by the water. It can rapidly change your body temperature to hot and cold for a few moments," Tom said, pointing to some people who were hit by the geyser spray.
"Arghhh... It's so hot! Brrrr... why is it suddenly so cold!" screamed one of the people hit by the geyser water.
"Set aside the effects; the phenomenon I saw earlier is truly amazing. I might come here several times and never get bored," I said, smiling satisfactorily.
"Ahahah, of course, people should react like that! Okay, let me explain briefly, Middle Stream Falls is one of those places that defy common sense. So, consider it a world wonder."
"Are there any other places like this in Einburg?" I asked with sparkling eyes.
"Unfortunately, this is the only place that falls into one of the world's wonders," Tom said, shaking his head.
"Don't be sad! The next place is just as amazing as Middle Stream Falls," Tom said, encouraging Ryan.
"Then, where are we going after this?" I asked, looking confused.
"We're heading to the Forrest of Emerald; I'll explain the details while we walk there," Tom said enthusiastically.
Forest of Emerald is a mysterious forest with evergreen trees. Even the leaves of a withered tree in this forest maintain the same green color. Aside from the evergreen leaves, entering this forest causes mist to appear, leading most people to get lost due to wandering in circles. Because of this, the place is rarely visited and is off-limits to the general public.
"We have to be careful here because there might be monsters!" Tom shouted, looking around the forest.
"But didn't The Great Emperor already eradicate all monsters here?" I asked with a puzzled expression.
"That was in the past. Now, with the advancement of knowledge, we know where these monsters come from. And we can't eliminate them until we get to the root of the problem!" Tom answered, putting on a serious expression.
"So, where do these monsters come from?"
"They come from animals!" Tom said seriously.
"Animals? Like cows or chickens?" I asked, seemingly joking. Then Tom responded to my joke with a serious face.
"Yes, they come from animals like that, more precisely, from all kinds of animals. I'll explain briefly. Monsters originate from animals exposed to ether with low or high pressure for a long enough time. When animals are exposed to ether for too long, their bodies adapt and create a core that makes them lose their sanity and turn into monsters. The higher the ether pressure, the stronger the monsters."
"So... if we want to eliminate monsters in Einburg, do we have to remove ether or animals from this island?" I asked, with my hand supporting my chin.
"Exactly. But getting rid of ether is impossible, and if we don't have animals for breeding, this island will face a food crisis. So, whether we like it or not, we have to live alongside monsters!" Tom said with a sad expression.
"Okay, let's set aside that topic. Why did you bring me here?" I asked to change the subject.
"My reason for bringing you here is to show you the essence of this forest, The Great Branch Tree of Miracle," Tom said, pointing upwards to the Forest of Emeralds.
"Always follow me if you don't want to get lost! And wear this too." Tom said, taking out a pair of bracelets connected by a string. Then he wore one on his hand and threw the other bracelet he wore to me.
"So, we're connected with this string to avoid getting lost?" I asked while putting on the bracelet on my wrist.
"Exactly, a hundred points for you," Tom replied with a faint smile.
Ryan followed Tom from behind, looking around the forest covered in mist; he finally understood why Tom gave him the connecting bracelets before entering the forest.
30 minutes later, after walking through the Forest of Emerald, Ryan and Tom seemed to be passing through a winding path. The mist covering almost the entire forest made it difficult for them to see ahead.
"It seems like we're just going circle in this forest?" I asked anxiously.
"No, even though the path feels winding, we're on the right track. Just a bit more, and we'll reach the center of this misty forest!" Tom said confidently, pointing his index finger forward.
After the journey through the misty forest, they finally reached the center of the Forest of Emerald.
A massive tree with roots extending from the ground, a trunk with a very large diameter, and branches reaching upwards accompanied by vibrant green leaves appeared before me. Amazed at the sight of the huge and beautiful tree,
I said, "So, this is The Great Branch Tree of Miracle."
"Correct, this is the tree. How about it? Satisfied after reaching here?" Tom asked, crossing his arms and pointing with his chin towards The Branch Tree of Miracle.
"Why isn't this majestic tree considered one of the world's wonders?"
"It's not considered one of the wonders because it's only a branch of the original tree," Tom explained.
"It's already huge. If this is just a branch, how big is the original tree?" I asked excitedly.
"Of course, the original tree is larger than this. But the difference is not too significant!" Tom answered casually.
"Alright. Since we've spent too much time in this forest, it's better to leave now, or we might encounter monsters from this forest!" Tom said, packing up.
"Sure!" I then prepared to leave the area with a slightly sad expression because I only got to see it briefly.
After leaving the core of the forest, Ryan and Tom continue their journey out of the Forest of Emerald. However, they were blocked by a herd of Epihorns.
Epihorns are a species of monsters resembling wolves with horns on their foreheads and black fur. Epihorns are social creatures that live in groups. When hunting, the Epihorn leader will bring at least 10 Epihorns to surround their prey, preventing it from escaping. Their strength lies in their claws, which are powerful and can be coated with ether. After seeing just one Epihorn, Tom immediately looked around. And indeed, Ryan and Tom were already surrounded by 10 Epihorns, ready to unleash their claws coated with ether and pounce on them. Tom then said with a worried expression.
"We're too late! They've surrounded us, our life ends here!"
"Calm down, they're just a pack of cute little puppies!" Ryan said casually, drawing his sword from its sheath.
"Are you insane? Epihorns are monsters classified as C rank. Do you want to hunt them yourself? That's equivalent to suicide!" Tom yelled in panic after seeing Ryan walk forward, unsheathing his sword.
"Don't worry, Tom. Dealing with them is a small matter for me," Ryan said confidently with a smile. Then Ryan said again while pointing his sword toward the leader of the Epihorns:
"It's time to hunt this sweet little puppy!"
