Ryan's hand, slow and shaky, reached his side, his fingers touching the blood from where he was impaled. However, as he felt the area, he found nothing—no hole and no wound.
"What the..." Ryan muttered in confusion. He wasn't entirely sure, but it seemed the chaos shard had healed him instantly.
Ryan was already well aware of his considerably fast healing; he noticed most wounds and fractures were always fully healed in about a day. However, he had not considered the possibility of instant healing.
Remaining on the floor, his eyes gazing up at the night sky, Ryan observed the moon, a partial offering of its complete self, illuminating the clouds. It was a magical scene, reminiscent of the day he was in the cab, the day his life changed forever.
