The Phantom Troupe has begun it's expedition in The Dark Continent. Currently, Chrollo Lucilfer, Franklin Bordeaux, Nobunaga Hazama and Shizuku Murasaki stood in front of a ruin, which has been existing for untold time, in the form of cathedral.
''Everyone, be careful. We don't know what is inside.'' Chrollo advised his friends of the possible danger. They nodded and walked through the entrance, which is in the form of an imposing, open door.
The Spiders saw a big empty room, which has countless cracks on it. With one staircase in the middle of the room, leading to a ginormous gate colored in black and red, with four golden symbols placed in each corner.
Just as they began to wonder what is that gate leading to, Chrollo felt a terrible headache and with it came incomprehensible whispers. In the next moment, Chrollo fell unconscious. His friends shouted "BOSS, BOSS, ARE YOU OKAY??" Alas, he remained unmoving.
....
During the night, in a forest, a young man, approximately 16-years-old, with black hair, eyes, so dark brown that seem black, and white skin tone, could be seen lying on the ground, with eyes closed, and trees around him.
Suddenly, the youth stood up, then he looked in different directions to understand his circumstances. With apparent shock on his face, he started thinking 'What happened? Where are the others? Where am i?'
Forcibly calming down his emotions, Chrollo started to think what led him to this state. 'The last thing I remember is entering the ruin and seeing that gate-' His thoughts stopped as foreign memories overwhelmed his mind, with them came another round of agonizing headache.
However, this time Chrollo remained conscious, albeit not easily. After a few moments, the pain ceased and he understood what happened to him.
'It looks like I came to another world, in which nen doesn't exist or anything supernatural, however I doubt it. Just like back home, most people probably don't know the power humans are able to wield.'
Chrollo continued with the questions 'Did that gate do it or is it something else? And did that happen to the others, if so, where are they?' He signed 'I don't know. I hope nothing happened to them and that they are safe.'
Chrollo stated 'Another curious thing is that i occupied someone else's body. And that said I look exactly like him when i was his age, plus we have similar personalities.'
He started to wonder 'How is that possible? Is it coincidence or something from the dark continent did it? Whatever is it, i have to see his memories to assess the situation.' Chrollo then closed his eyes.
'Hmm... I see... To summarize it, his name is like mine, Chrollo but with different surname Caddel. He comes from a wealthy family and his parents forced him to move a lot due to their job. A week ago, they told him that an important job is coming and will be forced to go somewhere for a few months. After that, he went to live with his aunt in a town called Beacon Hills and this is where i am right now.'
Chrollo finished his thought process 'As for why am I in a forest, in the middle of the night, he just wanted to clear his head.'
He leaned on a tree and he spent the next hour to go over the information, his new body provided, in case he missed something. '...Nothing that can help find out how and why i came here.'
'It is terrible luck to die like this, but there is nothing I can do about... I hope you have better luck next time, whenever that is, however now that this body is fully mine I can concentrate on finding a way back ' Chrollo thought about the death of the 16-years-old boy.
'If his parents and aunt somehow find out that I have taken his body i will have to eliminate them... Wait, why don't I kill them right now to avoid future problems? No, if i kill them investigation will be done and that will unnecessarily complicate things, well as far as his memory goes, his parents are just normal humans, but who knows, maybe they are dangerous.'
'For now, I will pretend to be their son, which shouldn't be difficult, as for later I can't tell yet.' With that, Chrollo finished organizing his future plans and he decides to go back.
.....
A few minutes later, he was still in the forest, but he noticed something 'It is too quiet, not even a sound could be heard, as if the forest was dead' At that moment, Chrollo felt something moving toward him.
His eyes registered a big silhouette, 15 meters ahead of him, in the form of a giant wolf standing on it's hind legs.
The monster has crimson eyes and fur as black as night. Chrollo recognized the being from the original body's owner. 'This is undoubtedly a werewolf, a fantasy being that isn't supposed to exist.' Yet it menacingly stood in front of him.
'As expected, this world isn't so simple, if this thing is real, who knows what else is?' Instinctively, he began to use zetsu, an application of nen, unfortunately nothing happened.
'It's no use, i can't feel nen, and it is too late to run because the monster is very close already.' Chrollo's body started shaking a little and a small laugh could be heard from him.
'It seems like I, too, have bad luck. To die after not even an hour, if this isn't funny, what is?' He exhaled, the shaking and the laughter suspended.Â
''Are you going to kill me?'' Chrollo asked in a calm voice, as if this situation had nothing to do with him. He silently waited for an answer from the mythical creature.
The werewolf responded in a surprised, rough male voice. ''Why are you not afraid?'' Chrollo, hearing the question, told him. ''Because death doesn't scare me, I have been ready to die since a long time ago.''
The monster's voice echoed through the forest. ''I don't believe someone isn't afraid of death, yet you don't lie.'' The werewolf's words helped Chrollo find out the mythical creature had a way to tell if someone was lying.
Both the human and the non-human looked at each other for a few seconds, without either one talking. The first to move was the werewolf, closing the distance between them. Both stood in front of each other, the gap between them less than a meter.
'Any creature's weak spot is the eyes, if I want to kill it I must aim there.' Chrollo then with his right hand went for the creature's vulnerable point, however, despite the human's speed, the monster was faster, by far.Â
It grabbed the enemy's hand with his left one and before Chrollo could react, it bit him on the arm. The werewolf, achieving its purpose, ran away from him, leaving the 16-years-old boy alone in the forest in excruciating pain. However, a casual expression resides on his face, as it were the pain didn't exist.
