In the first microsecond, all research on Animagi, along with knowledge of the Thunderbird, the petrified lizard, human biology, and the biology of birds and reptiles, was reviewed in his mind.
He preliminarily established several dozen potential plans to construct a flawless form.
In the second microsecond, most of these plans were eliminated after further calculation, leaving only three.
He chose the one with the greatest benefits. The Thunderbird and the petrified lizard would become his second and third Animagus forms.
In the third microsecond, he had to solve the problem that had blocked Andrew in magical Animagus research: how to stabilize the violent mutation of the potion brought about by magical creatures?
Even more, the problem he faced was much more complex than that of a simple magical Magus. Now, whether it was the Rapid Regeneration Serum or the dual magical Magus, the degree of mutation they caused far exceeded that of a simple magical Magus.
The addition of the crows might share some of the burden, and the powerful brain might help strengthen his will, but on a magical level, what could suppress the already off-the-charts "transformation" dimension?
Is there anything more stable and positively charged than a Patronus?
Searching through all magic, all potions, Murphy found that unless he possessed divine-level protective magic power, releasing a Patronus capable of suppressing the current degree of mutation might be possible.
Perhaps, the combined Patronus of hundreds of wizards could have such power.
But now, where to find so many wizards?
What about technological means?
He revisited all possible technological means, but none were useful.
Despair lasted for a few nanoseconds, then, scanning all his memories again, suddenly, something jumped into his mind.
The fur obtained in the village of Joachim.
He had the magical creature experts at the institute study the fur, concluding that it resembled sheepskin but was not ordinary sheepskin.
Because it was almost indestructible, even lasers capable of reaching tens of thousands of degrees could only leave a black spot on the fur.
Since no conclusion could be drawn from the research and it might be very precious, at worst, it could be used as a protective amulet due to its protective capabilities. Therefore, it had always been kept by Murphy on his left chest, now wrapped in countless expanding flesh.
In the fourth microsecond, the action plan was determined.
Now only one problem remained.
After the power of the fur was activated, its magic would cause a new mutation.
That is, his Animagus transformation would simultaneously have characteristics of the Thunderbird, petrified lizard, and the mysterious fur creature.
But, he knew nothing about this creature.
The flawless form calculated in the second microsecond became meaningless, the insertion of this creature element once again raised the complexity by an order of magnitude.
No one could fully control such a complex process.
Perhaps, his final form would still be a mass of mutated flesh.
So, gamble?
Ha!
The brain, flickering with lightning and on the verge of collapse, in these final moments, erupted with the most intense turbulence.
Faced with a path of almost certain death, Murphy was exhilarated.
Like a gambler who staked everything on the table, he threw the dice that would decide his fate with all his might.
All calculations had ended.
All preparations that could be made were completed.
He had done all he could.
Now, it was up to fate.
Let's do this!
...
The fifth microsecond.
Lightning exploded within Murphy's swollen body, instantaneously outlining 823,543 runes.
In an instant, a spherical defense like the one seen in the village was activated. It expanded outward, enveloping the storm, the tornado, and the thousands of crows within it.
After an incredibly bright flash of lightning, the spherical defense suddenly contracted.
Mary and the others only saw the bottom half of the tornado suddenly disappear, along with the flying crows and the giant in the storm, leaving only a pitch-black giant egg, suspended in mid-air.
"Captain..."
"Murphy isn't here, shall we look elsewhere?" someone suggested.
The American Aurors were ready to retreat, too much of what they had seen was beyond their understanding. Wise wizards should know to respect magic; if something looks too dangerous, it's best to stay away.
But Mary didn't move, "There was a great battle here..."
She pointed to blood splattered on distant rocks.
Then, she picked up a piece of ochre scale.
"This is a scale of a petrified lizard..." Mary said, "The Englishman said he came looking for a petrified lizard, right?"
Then, she found several feathers blown here by the dissipated tornado.
"Feathers of a Thunderbird." She seemed to understand something, "No wonder there was a storm..."
"Thunderbird? Then, is this egg from a Thunderbird?" someone asked.
"You definitely failed your Magical Creatures class, Thunderbird eggs are golden!" someone said, "This thing is obviously a dark magical creature!"
Indeed, the giant egg seemed to exude rolling black smoke, clearly not something benign.
"Perhaps we should take it back," an Auror said, "It might be a mutated Thunderbird. I've never seen such a black egg before."
Mary was also full of curiosity about the giant egg. Ignoring her teammates' warnings, she stepped forward and realized that the so-called egg wasn't smooth.
Its surface was covered in pitch-black giant scales, even layered with feathers.
What kind of egg was this?
A bird-serpent?
But bird-serpent eggs should be silver.
Reason told her that the egg could be very dangerous, but at the same time, it seemed to have a deadly attraction, compelling her to reach out and touch the black scales.
Her teammates' attempts to stop her were too late; the next second, a crack appeared on the eggshell, followed by a "bang!" The giant egg exploded, throwing Mary several meters back.
In the original spot, countless lightning bolts exploded, the lightning frequently jumping on the ground, weaving a giant electric net, each strike leaving a small bundle of jumping electric fire on the ground.
In a short while, after the initial bursts of electric fire dimmed, suddenly leaped up, crackling in the air several times, and with a "ga!" cry, revealed a crow's silhouette.
The lightning net lasted for more than ten seconds, thousands of crows in the sky continuously transforming into lightning, darting back and forth, filling the air with their calls.
And when the electric glow faded, a pitch-black cloven hoof stepped onto the ground, with hot electric fire swirling around the black hoof.
The Aurors finally saw the creature from the giant egg.
It was a humanoid creature, over two meters tall, but its appearance was unlike anything they had ever seen.
It seemed to combine the features of a goat, a reptile, and some kind of bird.
Its body was covered in armor-like scales, the lower legs were reverse-jointed goat's hooves, the upper body was draped in a black and gold cloak of feathers, and its head was bird-like, with a curved beak, long brow feathers, but bizarrely, it had a pair of curved goat horns protruding from the back of its head.
"De-de-demon!"
One of the Aurors suddenly drew his wand, aiming at the creature, but before he could cast a spell, "ga!" a crow turned into lightning and with a bang, hit his hand, knocking the wand away.
Several more crows crackled against him, the electric shocks and the impact of high-speed flight knocking the Auror to the ground, paralyzed and twitching, unable to get up for a moment.
In the next instant, hundreds more crows in the sky shone with electric light, ready to pounce on the remaining Aurors.
The giant dark creature suddenly raised a hand, making a stop gesture. The crows, as if receiving a signal, dispersed again, "cawing" mockingly, as if laughing at the hairless ape's folly.
The Aurors were terrified and clueless, but the monster suddenly appeared next to an Auror with a burst of electric light, its dark scaly claw grabbing an Auror by the neck, lifting him up.
It spoke, its voice magnetic, deep as the abyss, with a kind of deadly attraction that made one's heart tremble.
"You're looking for Murphy? Why?"
"A warrant... The British Aurors issued a warrant..." Seeing the Auror almost strangled by the monster, Mary, supporting her body, got up and quickly said.
A warrant?
The monster was silent for a while, then threw the Auror aside. Suddenly, his cloak behind him unfolded, thousands of circling crows suddenly turned into electric light rushing towards him, turning into black feathers on the cloak, instantly building a pair of huge black wings with a span of more than ten meters behind the monster.
The wings flickered once, and thunderclouds gathered in the sky, followed by a lightning strike.
In the blinding flash, the monster had disappeared.
And high above, continuous streaks of lightning lit up, already thousands of miles away.
