That night was peaceful—for a couple having a cozy night enjoying their mundane moments together.
Tanya's bedroom is filled with curiosity and adventure, her bulletin board with blueprints stacked with bullet points, her desk with her computer and all of her schoolwork stacked beside each other, and the dim orange lamp creating the cozy atmosphere and the warm intimate vibe when guests arrive.
Patricia sat next to Tanya, watching her sketch and screw some of her tools back to her latest invention she will be re-creating.
"I noticed earlier that you were feeling stressed. Is it because of Yoon Hee's death? Trish, get over it; we're just students, and bad things happened! "Tanya huffs, putting her tools down, trying to ease Patricia's stress since she knows how Patricia will get so worked up.
"Tanya, it's not just a death; I knew there's something to it." Patricia phases back and forth, running her hand through her hair. "It's like she didn't die like that; there's maybe things on my plate, but I would never forget my mission as a government student council president. I will be damn questioned if teachers never did soothing about it."
Alfredo's face glowed from the screen, like a lonely disco ball casting sharp edges in the dark. His voice is sweet, dripping venom; even in the middle of the night, he never cares who's inside the house at all—oblivious to his surroundings, playing the filters on Messenger while talking to her friends.
"I don't get it, why Patricia is so lazy, like I have been asking about the action plan on fund raising yet she's so lazy to comply, seen here, seen there." Francheska muttered back to Alfred.
"Yeah, like gosh, she prioritizes her girlfriend first. I get it, they're the IT couple, but why is he putting Tanya first? We have a fundraising event we need to handle! And I just got my payout from the group savings fund!" Alfred's eyes lit up with his new idea; he clears his throat first before exhaling.
"Make a GC; just make a group chat, and we will gather our friends! "Francheska starts making a Messenger group chat unaware of what Alfred was planning, but she starts gathering her popular friends too in the student council and sighs; she's used to Alfred's antics at all.
In the middle of the night, the police are still investigating, nonstop, Yoon-hee's death, gathering files and documents, ensuring that she gets the justice she deserves, but as time passes, they can't find anything at all; the school administration won't cooperate, and they are getting confused. All they give is minimal information, and they keep asking students who know Yoon-hee, but all they say is they don't know; they haven't seen her since she was called by the guidance counselor over her piercing, and that's it.
"How come Yoon-hee died after being called by the guidance counselor? It doesn't make sense."
The other day at San Nikolas, while Patricia was strolling Tanya, Alfred, and her friends, we're talking quietly, whispers filling the air, and occasional glancing, making sure no one is listening to them, even Patricia, who was walking. They would pretend that they didn't do anything by being on their phones.
Patricia wonders herself, "Why do they look so nervous and make sure that no one is listening to their conversation?"
She wonders herself; she didn't' want to get any closer at all; she just looked at them and smiled, wondering if her friends would probably surprise her on her birthday this February, and she's unaware.
Alfred smiles and waves back at her before rolling his eyes when Patricia leaves and continues their whispering conversations.
"February 16, how cute! "Patricia mumbles herself wondering what she had seen earlier but shrugs it off, even though she doesn't like their secretiveness at all just for her.
She kept walking, and her face lit up when she saw Tanya in her usual wheelchair, and she's wheeling herself.
"Tanya! There you are!"She felt this sense of sadness and happiness—happiness knowing that she's there at the moment and also sadness that Tanya has to deal with a disability that limits her mobility to walk.
She instantly grabs the handle and starts strolling with her until the classroom, where she sits next to her and starts grabbing her books from her bag. "You know Tanya? If your strolling like that in the hallway, you could call me, you know that, right? "Patricia suddenly acted off guard when Tanya burst into anger, clenching her feast and slamming it into her table and cursing after getting hit by a chalk.
"Who the f*ck throws chalk at me!"The teacher responded firm.
"It's me, Tanya! Why, you are talking with your girlfriend in my class?" Tanya's mouth got biten by a cat.
"Nothing, mam, let's proceed," she said as she tries to calm herself and still stutters, not wanting her anger to ruin her day.
Patricia noticed this and started holding Tanya's hands to calm her down by holding her hand and intertwining her fingers into hers.
"Tanya, it's okay. I'm here. Just take a deep breath and let it out slowly," she whispers, her eyes locked on Tanya's, trying to soothe her. She leans in; her voice is soft and soothing.
"I swear to God if this thing happens to me again, I don't know." Tanya immediately starts taking down notes just to ensure that she could get any notes to review during exams, but the fact that Patricia is the one taking notes became her opportunity for her to just take her notes later.
Suddenly, as Tanya was flipping her notebook, she noticed Patrica's large, dark eyes sparkled with curiosity, framed by long, thick lashes that accentuated their depth.
A gentle arch defined her brows, giving her an expressive quality that seemed to shift with her emotions. And her side profile that made her more mysterious by her porcelain-like skin with a hint of warmth that suggested a healthy glow.
A high cheekbones that add a touch of elegance, while a dusting of freckles danced across the bridge of her nose, hinting at sunlit days spent outdoors.
Her lips were full and naturally rosy, often curling into a soft, inviting smile that could light up a room. A cascade of wavy, chestnut hair framed her face, falling just past her shoulders, with a few rebellious strands occasionally escaping to dance around her cheeks.
And now Tanya is destroyed and flustered with awe at her girlfriend's beauty and intelligence and how delicate and elegant Patricia's slim hands are stroking into the notebook, and her mind is elsewhere as she's having a fuzzy feeling in her heart at this point, melting like ice cream.
"Ahhhh~ I feel like an ice cream... So pretty…"
"Tanya? Tanya! Hey! Tanya" Tanya kept gazing a bit too long, and Patricia is embarrassed and also flustered in a good way, so she looked back at her and waved at Tanya's flustered face, wondering if something was funny in her face or if she's just happy to look at her.
"Is there something funny in my face?"Patricia asked, which led to Tanya being awakened, which startled also Patricia.
"Hey! I mean... Ahhh," Patricia chuckled and replied.
"You're the one who's been staring at me for a while; what's the matter? "Tanya couldn't tell the fact that she's flustered over her girlfriend's pretty face, she gathered herself and then said.
"Nothing, your just pretty."
