The sound of footsteps was coming from Estrella's shoes stepping onto the metallic floor of the base. It was as if it was the only sound in the isolated corridor she was in with Hannah.
The two women were going around the base exploring the places darkened from its map. Hannah dreaded what they would find at the end of their journey, each of Estrella's steps bringing her hope for the answer at the same time.
Each door they passed by had Hannah feel her fear grow. She did not have the senses of Estrella, so she could only follow her blindly while she seemingly scanned the rooms they passed by.
The corridor had walls shining with the soft intensity as the rest of the walls of the base, but the situation, and the absence of any other person, made them seem dimmer.
