The impact from the explosion sent Estrella flying back, the vibrant jewel-like blood from her aggravated wounds following behind her. She tumbled and turned, the little bit of remaining dust in the crater adhering to her form and making her look worse for the wear.
Had most of the detachable particles not been blown by the earlier impact into forming the cloud of dust crowning the big crater, she would have looked even more miserable.
Even as the impact was bleeding out and she slowed down, the dull light in the cloudy crater struggled to reflect itself on some translucent streaks that moved to follow her.
This time, Estrella was truly winded. She struggled to stand up, her eyes lingering on the bloody flesh showing where her pants had been torn on the left leg that had been below the previous explosion.
