The wait lasted for a long time, almost a month, interspersed with earthquakes, all of a lower magnitude than the first one that attracted everyone there. It was almost like aftershocks, but much stronger than the harshest earthquakes on Earth.
Thankfully, in between all of that, the camps had been improved, and the surprise had waned, which allowed everyone to be prepared.
Today was not much different from the other days. With everyone used to the unchanging sky, those resting woke up, and those whose shifts ended left to get some rest or relax. Everyone was moving, looking like ants, from the sky. And that was when the path decided to surprise them, and it was by no other means than letting them experience the very first earthquake that had been felt tens of thousands of kilometers away.
