Humans used to use their bodies to do the work they had to. Then they took to using tools, before transitioning from swords and spears to guns, cannons and missiles. But now, things seemed to regress as the humans of the present era were faster than bullets, too resilient to be wounded by them, and just as destructive as missiles of not more.
One could say the circle was completed until humans found the means to build stronger tools, then even stronger automated ones adapted to the new era, before they once again transcended said tools as they evolved.
