"Are you sure about this, Lucas?"
The question Bartetzko asked made Lucas suppress a smile.
It was like he was back to when he had been about to try the liquid energy experiment as the first guinea pig.
He replied:
"Don't worry, I won't die. And what fails to kill me will only make me stronger."
Old man Bartetzko looked at Lucas with a bit of sadness in his eyes. No matter the excuse given, he, like the others, knew that what Lucas was about to do was not needed at all. Only, the recent events had made him want to close himself away from the world for a good while.
Actually, he could not be blamed at all. If all other reasons were put aside, just the ten years spent in hostile territory he showed no negative sign of in the last few years was enough to destroy most minds.
