Lucas' eyes grew colder, but instead of lashing out, or talking about revenge, he asked about something else:
"How is "Project Terminus" going?"
The change of subject surprised the woman, but she still replied without asking for clarification:
"It is going well. The objective we want to reach in terms of power is still some distance away, but professor Bartetzko is confident in succeeding before his retirement."
Though Lucas didn't say that the progress was good, since he didn't complain, that meant he was somewhat satisfied.
When she saw his eyes about to return to their previous position, she opened her mouth, but no word came out. She hesitated a few times, making Lucas comment in a faint voice:
"You have always been blunt, why the hesitation?"
Estrella closed her mouth, before asking softly:
"What happened earlier?"
