In the liquid energy experiment room, Lucas had a stoic expression as he looked at Christina about to be submerged by water. Even with the oxygen mask on her face, he could feel her smiling at him.
His gaze descended to her exposed stomach, as he thought about the picture she had him take of her in the living room of the mansion. Maybe she wanted to show it to her child later. The smile she had had on her face at that moment pulled him into a trance, but he snapped out of it, then nodded at her.
Turning around, he asked the chief biologist:
"Doctor Gullivan, is everything okay?"
The woman raised her head from the monitor in front of her, and nodded:
"Yes, mister Specter. Nothing out of the norm, everything is as we have expected. We can proceed with the last energy absorption of Miss Bolivares."
