Christina's surprise, however, didn't make Estrella pause:
"Humans, and living beings in general, are prone to adapting. That adaptation could be likened to evolution. But in their ideal state, there is a behavior that is not unlike inertia. Only when external factors exert their influence do beings leave the state they are used to."
Lucas cut in:
"So everyone has the potential to evolve. Let's not talk if that potential can be realized, but the training should be the external factors that break the inertia."
"Yes. When there are forces applied from outside, there are losses and gains. Only after a new stable state is adopted will the end result become clear. According to the team, it is like the additions from evolution are grinding against what was there at the beginning."
Lucas started pacing in a small area. He frowned, before stopping:
"I see, I understand."
