The information spouted by Alex had taken everyone by surprise. They had been sent to the academy for one goal only, at least for most of them, and that was to tread on the path of evolution touted by New City. And now they were getting concrete information about a level of strength on the ladder they were expecting to climb.
"Is it true? How did you know? What else do you know?"
A young man had appeared in front of Alex, and could be seen holding him by the shoulders as he asked for clarification. The explosive speed he had shown while covering the distance between them was astonishing, but not so much when it is considered that all the youngsters that had just enrolled into New City Academy were talents that had surpassed humans' limits, and were well into the first level, if not at the peak of it.
Alex looked helpless faced with the manhandling, but he was mild-tempered, so he didn't take any offense.
