At the edge of the land covered by the shield, Lucas and Estrella stopped and faced each other.
The city, that had been named New City, was only a shadow at the horizon from where they were, and despite everything, they could still breath with a steady rhythm, the run having done nothing to their stamina.
"You cheated."
"Huh!?!"
Lucas voiced his confusion while showing a confused expression at the accusation. But he could only relent at the glare those beautiful eyes were leveling at him.
"Come on, there were no rules."
"Is that so?"
She calmed down and looked at him indifferently, while he tried to brush what happened aside:
"Let's not care about the run, Come show me what you got, my cold vampire queen. We- F*ck!!"
Lucas disappeared from his place as Estrella appeared there with the sand that bloomed from the force of her blow frozen into what could have been an art work.
