So, Emmy was supposed to be the one taking revenge on the boy instead of the boy taking revenge on him.
But Emmy love his life more than he wanted to beat the boy. He can't even fight the boy alone not to talk of three of them, if it was a prepared battle, it would've been a bit different.

Also, his revenge was supposed to be on the society as a whole and not the boy alone. So, for him to get that revenge on the society in the future, he had to escape the wrath of the boy today.
But unfortunately for him, his worst fear had come true.

Emmy thought he might have a chance to escape the lone boy, after all he's the only one who could outrun him with his ability and eliminating him would increase his chance of escaping. So he prepared for a fight.
But sadly, his logic was wrong.
The boy is not at all a speed related ability user, he caught up with him by just using his natural speed or maybe he had used his ability to strengthen his speed. But his ability isn't among those that could be used to strengthen speed at all.
As soon as Emmy summoned his sword and charged forward, the boy also summoned his weapon, a three headed spear. As soon as the spear appeared, it duplicated into multiple copies all pointed at Emmy who had immediately stopped dead track realizing his mistake.

Turning back, he saw Caleb and the other boy standing right behind him.

His thought was that the boy who had appeared before him had a speed related ability making him move ahead of others but he was wrong. It was just the boy natural speed and the other two can also do the same but they decided to stay back, only appearing behind him at the last seconds when he decided to fight the boy.
Emmy didn't know the reason they acted that way but all he knew was that he had made the wrong choice, the choice of fighting the boy was totally wrong, he should've just continue running.
Huh really? Did he made the choice or he had no choice?
No, he didn't made a wrong choice, he did the only thing he could because he had no choice.
Trying to run away from the boy will also lead to the same outcome, the boy would've stopped him with the threat of multiple spears and Caleb would still appear behind him with the other boy.
So, he had no choice but to fight which he would do.
Standing at the of middle of enemies, two boys at the entrance of the hallway, a boy at the middle of the hallway controlling multiple spears. Emmy analyze his way of escape and a system message appeared in his sight.

Holding the sword tightly, he took a few step back so he could see his enemy on both sides, Caleb was saying something to him, but Emmy paid him no attention as he tried to analyze a way to escape.
He already knew what Caleb ability is, his ability deals with electricity. He also knew what the tall boy ability is as he was using it at the moment. His ability deals with duplication, but the third boy, he knew nothing about his ability.

He spit out a mouthful of blood and looked up, he saw the third boy walking towards him.
The bastard had somehow appeared behind him and gave him a heavy punch that is powerful enough to shattered a mountain.
Emmy felt his internal organs screaming in pain and his blood boiling, he screamed spitting out another blood.
The three boys walk towards him, each of them summoning their weapon, they wanted to finish him up with no time wasted.
Caleb summoned a long ancient chain, walking ahead of others, he swung the chain as hard as he could hitting Emmy in the stomach. He was hit again, and again until his eyes became blurred, he couldn't see anything again. Darkness embraced him, he's body bruised and Caleb didn't stop hitting him with the chain.
Feeling the sound of the aggressive chain coming at him again, Emmy said his last word regretfully.
'Such a shame, I won't be able achieve anything, I'll leave nothing behind to be remember of. It's sad, really.'
Having his last thought, he felt pathetic - or rather, what he thought was his last thought because at that moment the aggressive chain stopped, not approaching him anymore, what followed was a few scream that lasted for a split seconds and then, everything went silence.
At the same time, Emmy finally gave in to the darkness to embrace him and passed out.
