Hearing Antony's words, Megan's face dimmed for a moment, but the corners of her mouth still managed to maintain a decent smile.
Megan's voice was raised enough to be heard clearly by the doctors and reporters watching, "Please take good care of Theo, journalists, and follow me out. I would appreciate it if you would leave Theo alone."
Megan lowered her head and put on a pair of large sunglasses. She gave Antony a dirty look behind the glasses, but the smile on her face didn't diminish.
"I'll come and see you later," Megan whispered to Theo. Then she turned and walked out the door. Julie and Arron cleared the way for her, all the reporters followed her out, the hospital lobby was quiet again.
Theo was wheeled into the operating room. He struggled to get up and looked out the door and his eyes were full of anticipation.
