Iris was taken aback, quickly swallowing the mouthful of food. Her eyes were wide with surprise. "Why?" she asked, puzzled.
Daniel pointed towards the sky, where dark clouds gathered like a massive black curtain swiftly covering the sky. "It looks like rain is coming," he explained simply.
"Can we make it back if we leave now?" Iris's voice carried a hint of nervousness and concern.
Daniel shook his head, his expression turning serious. "Remember the last blizzard we've met? The weather here can be quite extreme, it's better not to take the risk," he said with a tone of firmness that brooked no argument.
Iris sighed, her gaze returning to the roiling clouds. "The weather changes so fast," she murmured to herself.
Daniel remained silent, focusing on grilling the meat, but he kept a watchful eye on Iris' expression. Seeing that she wasn't overly worried, Daniel quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
