Antony's words only served to complicate Theo's already complex emotions. Now, he was completely overwhelmed by grief, unable to think rationally. All he wanted was to give in to his sorrow or find something, anything, to distract himself.
The car continued its journey through the city streets, but Theo's mind was miles away. He was haunted by memories of the times he had spent with Iris, memories that were once sweet but now tasted only of bitterness.
Eventually, the car pulled up in front of the villa on Hugo Road. Theo got out in silence, not bothering to look back. Antony followed, keeping a respectful distance. At the doorway, he offered softly, "If you need anything, I'll be right outside."
Theo gave no response, standing still as if he was disconnected from the entire world. Antony let out a soft sigh and walked away, leaving Theo alone.
And there Theo stood, enveloped by darkness, motionless as if time itself had stopped for him.
