Jim's eyebrows lifted slightly in surprise at the news, he had assumed Daniel and Iris were merely in the early stages of dating. He hadn't expected their relationship to progress so rapidly, to the point of cohabitation and even traveling together.
Jim offered a faint smile in thanks for the waiter's gossip before his gaze turned contemplative. "The son of the Levois Hotel owner," Jim murmured to himself, "Theo, how did you end up losing to such a greenhorn?" He couldn't help but feel disdainful, considering Daniel too immature.
Seeing that Jim had no further questions, the waiter cautiously retreated to place his order. Jim sat there, tapping his fingers on the table, pondering how to break the news to Theo. Theo had asked him to keep an eye on Iris, a clear sign of unresolved feelings. But now, Iris had moved on.
