The car was engulfed in silence, the atmosphere heavy with tension. Theo turned to look at Antony, who seemed completely unaffected by what he just said, as if he hadn't been the one to speak just moments ago.
"What do you mean by that?" Theo asked, his tone laced with displeasure.
Antony turned his head, locking eyes with Theo without flinching, "You know exactly what I mean. She's not Iris. Don't project your feelings for Iris onto her."
"I'm not," Theo retorted with a sullen expression, feeling exposed and slightly guilty. He broke eye contact with Antony immediately.
Antony chose not to push the conversation further, and once again, a suffocating silence fell over the car.
