Everyone was caught off guard by Emily's sudden move. Before they could react, Iris was being dragged out of the ward by Emily.
"Let go of me! What are you doing?!" Iris struggled to break free, but Emily's grip was too strong, her eyes flashing with a crazed light, as if all her pain and hatred had erupted in that moment. She clutched Iris' hand tightly, dragging her towards the staircase with a sense of finality. Iris' face turned pale as she realized Emily's intent. She kept struggling, calling out for Theo, hoping he would come to her aid.
Hearing Theo's name, Emily turned her head with a maniacal twist and slapped Iris across the face, "Don't you dare say his name!" Stunned by the slap, Iris stopped resisting, allowing Emily to drag her to the top of the stairs.
George, Jim, Antony and Theo followed in hot pursuit, their faces etched with horror and disbelief.
